I need to find out everything I can about this gnomish king and his realm in the Sword Mountains that was detstroyed by the orcs of Uruth Ukrytp in the 900s DR.

What kind of King was he? Did he sire offspring? Was his kingdom large and prosperous? Any timeline of events? What exactly happend to the ruins of the city? How did the orcs take over? Any survivors? Were'd they go? What gods did the kingdom worship? What was the makeup of the kingdom(common jobs, how many churches, etc.) ANY little piece of information you can share would be greatly appreciated.

I've looked through the FRCS and found no mention of his name but under the Sword Coast section it does mention orcs destroying nonhuman civilizations in the past. any other books i could look into (i'd personally rather not buy books just for one character's background that most likely in this campaign will not come up). Any online sources?

thank you very much,
beowulf

p.s. (special thanks to Krash who helped me pick this idea for my backstory in another thread!)

As to where this fits in the FR timeline I put it here;

934 Year of Fell Wizadry
Gnomish settlements in the Sword Mountains and surrounding foothills are all eradicated by the orcs of Uruth Ukrypt. The last to fall is the mansion of the self-styled "Gnome King" Karlus "Goldgoblet" Dlinshoulder, on Mount Araddyn, north of Nimoar's Hold.

Unfortunatley, there is no canon info on Karlus. He is mentioned in Ed's "Wyrms of the North" article in Dragon#251, p.72. You could link him with other gnome settlements found in the Sword Mountains such as Ieirithymbul (Dragon#252, p.70) in the write-up of Palarandusk [Wyrms of the North]. Or if you prefer a lost gnome settlement in the Sword Mountains you can consider Wavecho Cave mentioned in Volo's Guide to the North (p.197).

I've placed Wavecho Cave in the FR Timeline here:

952 Year of the Rings Royal
This year marks the end of the Second Troll War as the human realms and holdings of the North unite under the leadership of Aeroth, War Captain and champion of Silverymoon, and clear the Evermoors of trolls.
Ahghairon becomes the official adviser to the Warlord of Waterdeep.
Wavecho Cave falls to the orcs of Uruth Ukrypt leading to the collapse of the mining alliance of dwarves and gnomes known as Phandelver’s Pact.
