I'm working on detailing what exactly the God of the Dead is supposed to teach his followers overall and what their role is.

I'm increasing Kelemvor's role as a God of Death as much as his role as the Keeper of the Dead and want to figure out what his philosophy for warriors should be.

Also, what Paladins of Kelemvor are supposed to believe exactly.

All I've got right now is this...

* Kelemvor hates the undead.
* Everyone has a natural time to die and a destiny to fulfill before then.

My knowledge on Kelemvor comes computer game Neverwinter Nights 2 : Mask of the Betrayer. The game's theme is heavily related to Kelemvor and Myrkul, since the entire plot is tied to the Wall of the Faithless.

Kelemvor is different from the previous gods of the dead, Myrkul and Cyric, in that while the two were enthusiastic about death and promoting death-related cults such as necromancy schools and killer teams, Kelemvor sees death as a final rest for souls who have done their thing and had a fruitful life. As such, he dislikes any premature death, be it brought by administration by a mortal or some devine ploy. He hates any disrespect of the dead, including refusing death and turning to undeath. It is my opinion that his outlook is rather like that of Jergal.

His priests look after the dead bodies, provides communities with funeral services, and takes custody of discovered abandoned bodies. His paladins are protectors of tombs, and not only hate undeath but actively seek out and destroy those who study undeath and the art of necromancy. The paladins also hunt down tomb raiders. All his followers make sure that anyone who dies does not go uncared for and unremembered.

It is suggested that Kelemvor dislikes murder of any form - he seems to believe death should come at its own choosing and not be administered by a mortal. Also, it seems that Kelemvor is trying to change how people see death, and works to remove the fearful and dark image of death. He actively attacks the faith of Bane and Cyric, and despises the dogma of Myrkul. He prohibits his followers from ever even considering undeath, and frowns upon desecration of burial sites.

One of Kelemvor's priests in the game says that his duty extends to all faiths, and even the faithless, for all who are dead are equal. From this I deduce that Kelemvor is trying very much to be a just and merciful judge.

But all the above information is not from any sourcebook, but from a COMPUTER GAME. I don't know how accurate Neverwinter Nights 2 : Mask of the Betrayer is, but it felt right when I played it.

PS: Kelemvor does not want to be taken lightly. Although he is a new diety, he is a stout defender of the 'old traditional system' and is reluctant to overturn any judgement made by other dieties. He is said to be friendly with Helm and Tyr.

PSS: In the computer game, Kelemvor helps the PC overcome a curse laid to her by Myrkul. Heck, he even allows the PC to tear apart the Wall of the Faithless.

PSSS: I saw a lot of paladins of Kelemvor in the game, and they murtered sentences like "You are a disturber of the final peace!" "Go usurp your own soul. Leave these others to their entitled rest" "Abomination! Abomination of Myrkul!"
