I have heard that Khelban split from the Harpers and formed his own organization I think they are called Moonstars. My question is how do they differ from the Harpers and where can I find detailed information about them and their organization? Thank you everyone in advance.

2e's Cloak & Dagger covers most of the details about the origins, function, and abilities of the Moonstars.

Steven Schend's provided some rather intriguing thoughts on them over at Candlekeep also. See the compiled reply files.

See 3e's City of Splendors also.

Is Cloak and Daggers a sourcebook or is it a novel? And can you give the link to Mr. Schends comments on the Moonstars. Thanks Old Sage! :D

Its a sourcebook from I believe 2nd edition. As a sourcebook though, the edition matters very little. Its gives some good backround on groups, even ones not in Lords of Darkness.

Is Cloak and Daggers a sourcebook or is it a novel? As Merrick said, it was a 2e sourcebook, the last of the 2e FR product line in fact.

And can you give the link to Mr. Schends comments on the Moonstars.

From 2006:- http://candlekeep.com/library/articles/misc_lore_2006.htm

Perform a search for "Moonstars" and/or "Tel'Teukiira" and you'll find the replies.

-Now that Khelben is out of the picture, it'll be interesting to see what becomes of them.

-Now that Khelben is out of the picture, it'll be interesting to see what becomes of them.Interestingly,

While Tsarra may have a better chance of masquerading as Khelben in terms of his leadership of the Moonstars, I'm thinking particularly "smart" members, like Malchor, will eventually learn her secret. That may have some impact on how the Moonstars are "officially" directed.

Also, given Khelben's knack for planning things in the long run, I'd imagine he's the type of guy whose had several contingencies in place for quite some time (in case of his death). These contingencies likely ensure that a "status-quo" of sorts, especially among the Moonstars, remains for quite some time after his unfortunate departure.

Never liked the guy, seemed like a giant pain in the a** to me. If I was Elminster, I'd have killed him a long time ago.

How do you do that 'blacked-out' thingy. I just tried making the letters white but that didn't work at all. Other then Blackstaff, where there any other books in that series? I have to get to the bookstore latter, I'm going through withdrawal. :(

-Type 'SPOILER' and '/SPOILER' in brackets.

-Blackstaff is part of the Wizards Series. Each book is a stand-alone novel, so if you are looking for Part II of the story, good luck finding it. Bloodwalk is the second book in the Wizards Series. I think that a third, Frostfell, or something to that effect, was recently published, and is the third book in the series. There will be one more. Not sure about what it'll be called, though.

The books are Blackstaff, Bloodwalk, Darkvision and Frostfell in that order. I have not yet read Darkvision but the other two were good.

I wonder if Steve Schend has any plans on following up Blackstaff. A lot was left up in the air.

-Duh...I forgot Darkvision. Between you, me, and the wall, it's pretty easy to do that, though...:incog:

-I am hoping that Sage Schend picks up where his pen left off. He made a big splash, jumping into the pool, and I hope he doesn't get out just yet.

Didn't find Blackstaff, but I picked up Promise of the Witch king. There was a few I was looking for that they were out of... stupid Borders <mumble grumble>

Uh-Doh! I was thinking Sblock, not Spoiler... should have realized.

Also, my earlier  was meant toward the comment about "three threats who wait in Darkness", whats that a reference to?

(Must find Cloak & Dagger now...)

-Something in reference to Cloak and Dagger. Sage Schend is really good at leaving plot-hooks, as demonstrated in all of his sourcebooks. Now, he did it in a novel, (hopefully) guaranteeing a sequel of some sorts.
