| Jack in the Green06-23-03, 09:21 AM | Good reading on Larloch (http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Castle/2566/ed-larloch.htm) Why do players have a way of thinking everything's there for them to play with? It seems they have a real dislike for NPCs that are more powerful then them too. |
| Cosmo7706-23-03, 09:46 AM | This is not so much for a adventure than a contest. In my group we are having a battle of monsters/characters from modules. The monster/character that we choose has to be from a module and it also has to be possible for the pc's to fight it. The monster/character can't be from the monster manual or any book that just lists off monsters/npc's unless that monsters/npc was mentioned in a module and the playser had a chance to fight it. My current choice is the lich queen from the july dragon magazine, but i would rather run larloch. |

Just don't forget the multitude of other lichs under his command. And the vimpire lords. And other various undead the players have to get thru just to get at him. And the curses he inflicts when he does actually hit someone. Plus the various contingencies for when he is brought to under half his hit points. I would get a co-DM. :) |
| Talint Moonstar06-23-03, 03:28 PM | There is a sidebar on Larloch in Lords of Darkness . While it is not a module, the sidebar gives his stats, items, and a little background information. He is listed as a 20th level wizard, with 12 epic levels to play with, customizing him as you see fit. Let me know how long the PCs last. |
