Least publishly detailed cities of Faerun?? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-30-04, 01:54 PM WHat are some of the least detailed cities in FR as far as novel or game product info goes. Cities that have some general info but have never been really touched on much?

07-30-04, 02:11 PM I've set my campaign in Daggerford, because I have a copy of Under Illefarn, which details the town nicely. However, the surrounding settlements (Secomber, The Way Inn, Cromm's Hold) only get names. I've had to make up a lot of stuff for the area (Sword Coast, about 2 weeks travel south of Waterdeep).

07-30-04, 02:34 PM One of my favorite cities, Wormtower, which is in southeast Cormyr is pretty awesome and has a nice lil background, but is only found in Volos guide to Cormyr

07-30-04, 02:41 PM Hmm...I think i'll flesh out Eshpurta since it's near The Wailing Dwarf (which I'm using in a campaign), and also I plan on placing a drow city i created called Nez'Miira near there as well. I just need to know the climate of that area...

Lantan. It's not a city, but I've never seen or heard of much about it. Possibly the least deatiled region in the realms.

07-31-04, 03:24 AM The Least detailed city...hummmmm. Well, there are thousands of miles of undetailed Realmslands. some have a paragraph here or there...but some places are untouched.

Lets see....you got all the land between between the Sea of Fallen Stars and the Great Sea(Excluding the coasts). The Shinning South has been touched on.....but you'd be hard pressed to find more then a line or two about the cities of Cathtyr, Zabbasz, Zelpir, or Kelazzan.
Just about everything East of Thay is wide open. There is very little about Impiltur and any of it's cities. The Villion Reach and the area around it has only gotten a light dusting.

When you get down to it though, Except for say Waterdeep or Silverymoon......we have very little inforantion about any city. Telflamm is a Large City in Thesk...and it gets two whole pages in UE..and not even a full map, just a corner of it.
