avian tiefling 07-25-03, 05:49 PM	What's special about an undead mind flayer (which i refer to as "Lichithids") how do they become undead? what abilities do they have? how much more powerful are they than when they were alive? and most pressing of all, how do you kill them?
Critical Hit 07-25-03, 06:02 PM	They are called Alhoons (illithiliches). It took a dozen Alhoons to kill the Netherese mage Ioulaum.

Ryltar Swordsong 07-25-03, 06:18 PM	Ulitharids are noble Illithids. Alhoon, or Illithiliches, are mind flayers with psionics, magic, and undead qualities. Given all that, they are more powerful than a normal Illithid.

Which though was more of a reference and didn't really make the matter clear, whether Ioulaum was truly destroyed or was just his physical body destroyed. Ioulaum was a lich and one of the oldest netherese wizards even in the days of the empire so it might be possible that he had some sort of contingencies available.
