| greymarch05-17-04, 01:56 PM | My gaming group has started a new, low-level adventuring party. We want to find every Forgotten Realms based module that has been printed, using 3.5 or 3.0 rules. Hopefully someone on these messageboards can provide a comprehensive list of such modules. Here are the two ground-rules: 1. Must be a module set in the Forgotten Realms. We do not want modules that are easily converted to the Forgotten Realms. 2. Must use either 3.5 rules, or 3.0 rules. No 1.0, or 2.0 rules, please. I suppose the three major sources for these kind of modules would come from Dungeon magazine/Dragon magazine, official WoTC products, and online adventures. |
| Mystery Man05-17-04, 02:10 PM | Search "Forgotten Realms" here (http://www.paladinpgm.com/wyrm/SearchAdventure.wws) |

Can you also provide the Dungeon magazine number for each magazine that contains a true FR adventure? |

The mini modules in the FRCS start on pages 284 and 302. The ones in Silver Marches start on page 124. |

Give a man a module he's gamed for a day, teach him how to find them for himself and he's gaming for a lifetime..... |

No need to get snippy. And, actually, you *didn't* say that it wasn't what you were looking for, you said this: 1. Must be a module set in the Forgotten Realms. We do not want modules that are easily converted to the Forgotten Realms. 2. Must use either 3.5 rules, or 3.0 rules. No 1.0, or 2.0 rules, please. I took that to be the requirement. Your second paragraph was a supposition rather than a requirement. If you aren't interested in Northern Journey, its your loss since it is probably the best developed, most put-together set of modules - starting at level one and going up to epic levels, spanning 7 different modules (each roughly 200 pages of text), as well as an optional 8th module... As to official WoTC material, the other posters here have pretty much listed everything to date that WoTC has published either as a "module" or in Dungeon and Dragon magazines. There is very little support out there for *any* 3.x modules from WoTC - less than a dozen. |

I looked at the Northern Journey modules. I was less than impressed. They remind me of rambling, poor constructed modules that high-school kids tend to write. That's one of the reasons why my gaming group only plays official FR modules. They tend to be higher quality than fan-made modules. My initial query clearly assumed official FR material, but once again, I suppose some people could read it differently. |
| Chronomage05-19-04, 12:05 AM | If all your looking for and willing to play are "official" FR modules, you might as well hang up your hat and stop playing D&D altogether. |

The last statement and online adventures does suggest any online adventure, nothing here that slightly suggests "only official online adventures" None the less, I think I found one... http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/oa/20010926a |
| Bela Reborn05-19-04, 03:00 PM | Could someone tell me where "Forest of Blood" from Dungeon Magazine takes place, and what's the premise? I can't seem to track that one down. Also, if memory serves, there's a free FR adventure on this site called "Fang & Claw" that takes place in the Silverymoon area. |

The hardest thing about these boards is judging a persons demeanor when he types. Most people, myself included, tend to always think in the negative when a sentence or paragaph can be interpreted in various attitudes. But I digress.... I looked at that Northern Journey and I must respectfully disagree with you. I like it a lot. I had never heard of it until tonight and I have only read through the beginnig of the first module. I am definately going to run this. Thanks to 3ctcircus for posting the link. :) |

" Forest of Blood takes place in the moonwood, which is the large contingent of forest north of silverymoon, obviously in the Silver Marches. As noted, this is in Dungeon #103. This is a pretty good adventure which I ran for my PC's and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Fang and Claw I think is in the Silver Marches book (but you probably already know that). I dont know much about it off the top of my head other than it being set in the Silver Marches. Hope that helps:D |

The premise of the adventure centers around missing council of druids with which a chosen of Malar has disposed of. The Malar worshipper then has some flunkies train some wolves to attack people around the outskirts of the town, to try and generate fear and resentment towards the council of druids (who are missing but the people of the town dont know that they are missing). he also sets another plan into motion involving selling ironwood items through a merchant, claiming that they are the work of the council of pines (the missing druids). Obviously, ironwood is not permenant and when the wooden tools turn back into normal toosl and therefore is a means by which the malar worshipper can further discredit the missing council of the pines and hopefully by bringing the wolves back into line (which his followers are setting loose), it will bring the people towards Malar and the town will fall Fang and Claw I think is in the Silver Marches book (but you probably already know that). | Halornn_Kaala05-24-04, 01:55 PM | Has anyone run either of the 1st-level adventures in Dungeon #87 and #88? Where are they set? Were they enjoyable? And I think I've found one more - there's an Unapproachable East web enhancement mini-adventure: "A Call to Arms" (8th) http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20030503a IIRC, UE was post 3.5e... | qstor05-30-04, 02:39 PM | I've run the module in issue 87. Makes a good intro to the Realms. I like the Dalelands a lot so it was an easy choice. Lots of follow up material too. The other module in the series is a few levels higher so you'll have to wait a bit before running it for the same PC's since Raiders of Galths Roost is for 1st level PCs Mike |
