| Mr. Wilson02-03-05, 01:53 AM | I'm so frothing at the mouth for this. |
| ssvegeta55502-03-05, 02:30 AM | If only the Arcane Manipulation feat could work for any arcane class instead of only a wizard. But other than that, really awsome stuff. I think I might pre-order it on the weekend. |
| Mr. FIXIT02-03-05, 02:48 AM | SUPER good. If the final book is anywhere near as good as that preview, I'll never stop reading it. :D |
| Tempus66502-03-05, 03:14 AM | Nice stuff indeed. The Magelord is defenitely different from what I had expected, but cool nonetheless. :) I wish I had a copy already :w00t: |
| Sage_of_Shadowdale02-03-05, 04:29 AM | The history being put back into Faerun makes me extraordinarily happy. I've wanted history of Khelben Arunsun since as long as I can remember hearing his name. The Crown Blade seems a little dummed down for such a potent weapon, but it is sweetness none-the-less. Good job on this one guys, and I haven't even seen the actual book! The Sage P.S. The mentioning of Flfar smoting the Third Nefarious as he was also slain really makes the novel Forsaken House fell that much more lore-driven. I was led to believe he was defeated, but this told me he won for the ultimate price. |
| Arcanum02-03-05, 07:59 AM | The excerpt is very good, though there is a strange thing. In《Underdark》, the Seven Imaskarcana are magical tomes. But in LEoF, the First Imaskarcana is a crown and the Fifth seems to be a rod
.. ;) I cant wait to see the whole book. :) |
| Derren S.02-03-05, 11:52 AM | Just for information, the book is out here in germany. (No, I don't have it and I am not getting it yet. I know this from a newsletter). |

.. ;) I cant wait to see the whole book. :) The ancient Imaskari applied the word "tome" to all 7 of their Imaskarcana (regardless of the item's form) since each served as a highly knowledgeable repository of Imaskari lore. Also check out the Imaskarcana entry in Underdark where it states that that the form, powers and purpose of the other 6 Imaskarcana are unknown. - Ed Bonny |
| Mystery Man02-03-05, 12:26 PM | I'm so frothing at the mouth for this. And falling over backwards! |
| Sephyrill02-03-05, 01:22 PM | Very Sweet excerpt ^____^ all couldn't shut my mouth while I was reading it ;) and yes, that arcane Manipulation should be usable for ALL arcane Spellcasters, really nice Feat! It's out here??? *looks at Page of her favourite shop* YAY!!! Today it's party time :D |
| Klyden02-04-05, 02:30 PM | (wonders if Lost Empires of Faerūn will have stats for powerful NPC's whom originated from these Lost Empires [and are still around in current times]). I would love to see the stats for the Srinshee and other Epic Level NPC's (such as Netheril liches who reside in various crypts, powerful Arch Fiends who still dwell in Myth Drannor, and Dragons who still fly the skies of Faerūn despite the fact that they hatched during these ancient times). |

From what I have seen, they are some NPCs statted out. I remember reading about some Epic Mulhorandi Wizard just returned to Faerūn after a 700 years-long trip to the planes (came back because he wants to kick the Shades in the butt I believe). I also saw some other stat blocks but I did not have a closer look at these. If you have specific queries let me know. Bocklin |
| The Simbul02-06-05, 04:46 PM | Specific queries? I wouldnt know where to start Boclin. Although I am dying to learn something about Mythals....... OH GOD :censored: I WANT THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!! :tantrum: :banghead: :headexplo :hoppingma |
| Kuld02-06-05, 04:55 PM | Yeah, what is the exact release date? I have had it pre-ordered on Amazon for ages now. It still says "Item not released yet". I am growing more impatient every day! |
| warlockco02-07-05, 02:33 AM | Yeah, what is the exact release date? I have had it pre-ordered on Amazon for ages now. It still says "Item not released yet". I am growing more impatient every day! Per my Local Game Store which is an Authorized WotC Dealer, not til Feb 18th, but apparently people overseas have already gotten their hands on copies. |
| Bocklin02-07-05, 04:14 AM | Yes, it happens sometines (it was the same with the PGtF and the Eberron Source Book). Back then Rich explained that it depends on the marketting guys and that he does not know for sure how they take these decisions (and no he does not want to tell them to do otherwise because he does not want them to tell him how many HDs his newly created monster should have). If it makes you a bit less unhappy, Warlocko, my provider is also a WotC Authorized Dealer (I think). ;) Bocklin |
