| Wotc_Mark02-18-04, 11:46 PM | Magic Books of Faerūn In the Magic Books of Faerūn series, we'll look at some of the more interesting and unusual magic books of Faerūn, describe what magic they contain, and see who currently bears them. Some of these books are revealed for the first time, while others revisit tomes presented in older products like Pages from the Mages and Prayers from the Faithful. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frx/20040218a A Harper's Companion, Volume III Bards and scholars alike may find much to treasure in A Harper's Companion, Volume III: A Collection of Bard Songs, with a Touch of Magic for Ease in Use. See how this book can enhance a bard's abilities and find out how it came into being! http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mb/20040218a New Feature .... Enjoy MJ  |
| Wooly Rupert02-19-04, 12:10 AM | Oh, this looks like it's gonna be a really nice feature! I always loved the tomes from Pages From the Mages... How often will we see updates on this? And thank you, 'twas a very good choice for a new feature! :D |
| Shima02-19-04, 12:24 AM | I think its a nice feature. Books are nice, there is something more to them then any other oject. Maybe because they incarnate so much history (and therefore story). They give more deepness to a world. They are a sort of relics of knowledge that is awsome for player to get his hands on. Or perhaps is it simply that knowledge is power? I dont know, anyway that feature is cool  I like! |

| J. Grenemyer02-19-04, 02:36 AM | Hello Mr. Jindra! Excellent news! I say it again: EXCELLENT! I cannot impress upon you enough how quickly and how often I use precisely this sort of material in my game, as I have a player in my group who runs a Loremaster (native to Candle Keep) that is forever asking about Magical Tomes and researching new spells unique to Faerūn. Seriously, a DM needs all the quality help he can get, for which the first rate work of Sean Reynolds is eagerly welcomed into my Realms Campaign. After all, despite the overall curtailing of all things magical in the Realms to fit the confines of Third Edition, Sean seems the most adept at taking those same rules and stretching (but not breaking) them to their maximum to fit the vast panoply of spells and magic items that give Faerūn its flavor. Thanks again! :D |
