Hello;

Have you any prepared document about real story of Mask of a Betrayer? Or which sourcebook can I find it?

With my respects...

Eh, what's your question?

Are you asking if the MotB plot elements can be found in official sourcebooks? The answer is most likely no--CRPG designers will often create their own plot elements for their games.

I know it involves Myrkul and Kelemvor, that's all I know for now hehe.

It's a very good game. I highly recommend it. It's got a few lore glitches here and there, though (Like a Priest of Kelemvor who's never heard of the Wall of the Faithless. Say wha-?!? Bear in mind that this guy worked in a temple which was surrounded by a replica of the Wall of the Faithless!).

Beyond that and a couple other things, though, it was very good, with some incredibly moody scenes. Definitely one of the best games I've played in a while.

As for it being canon, yeah, it isn't, and I don't think it'll ever be. Perhaps rightly so. Still, great game.

No. I don't want to see your screenshots or NWN2 characters. Mask of a Betrayer has a real story in Forgotten Realms except for NWN2 plots.

But I wonder that have you any ready document about this real story or any sourcebook that includes MoaB story.

With my respects.

As was already mentioned, it's not canon, so you won't find anything about it in any of the supplements. As far as Realms history is concerned, it never happened.

Yet anyways, you never know right?

Who knows? Maybe it'll be made canon at some point in the future. But when it comes to the OP's question, as far as I know, there isn't anything about it in current supplements.

I guess he wants to know about the Times of Trouble and the Avatar Trilogy, I think the game is hardly understandable for people who doesnt know the FR background.

I dunno where the spoleir tag is, so I'm just writing it like this.

In a nutshell, the story is about a curse by Myrkul, which was devised before his death, a curse which was a way of keeping his alive. MoTB takes place in Rashemen, small part of it in Thay, and a lot of the story is also taking part in the Shadow Plane. The PC lands in Mulsantir, which will be his base of operations, learns about the curse places on him (Souleater curse - he consumes spirits in order to survive) parties up with hagspawn, a half-celestial, an ancient rashemi spirit and a wizard of thay, and goes to tear his soul from the Wall of the Faithless (it was placed there when the Souleater entered his soul. Background story is a story of Akashi, the Crusader, who lead A crusade to the City of Faithless hundreds of years ago, to tear down the Wall. He failed, and the PC is now mirroring his actions, and in the end teams up with Akashi's troops and assaults the City of Judgement. The NPCs in the game include : dead Myrkul on the Astral Plane, who can be put to rest by the epic lvl pc, and Kelemvor himself, who appears during the endgame. All in all, teh game's worth picking up, if you liked NWN2.

Also, the PC can be female.

Just felt like mentioning that.:P

-It's been a while since the last time a computer MMO-like RPG didn't allow you to choose gender.

On a related note, anyone stated NWN 1 (and 2) NPC, tabletop-style? Maybe in that baldur's gate npc thread..

For some odd reason, this reminded me of that time when the NWN boards first learned that the female romance option is a hagspawn*. Maaan, were some of those posters ****** off...

*: dear Rinonalyrna, in case you don't know that already, don't worry. In terms of looks, I can only assume he takes after his father.

Incidentally, check out the 2nd and 3rd pics that I posted, above. The aformentioned Hagspawn is in those. His origin is that he's pretty much the only Hagspawn born from love, which is why he takes after his father appearancewise, rather then looking like a monstrosity. He's got a great storyline, and the meeting with his mother was nicely handled. I can't speak to the romance option, though, as I only play male characters (And something tells me the male players weren't to happy about the romance option being a bald girl. Damn it, Safiya, grow some hair, or put a wig on, or something! ;) ).

I've seen the romance option, and I think he's pretty handsome.:) Besides, I'm actually pretty open-minded when it comes to those CRPG romances. Some people were upset because they thought the NPC in question was going to be a barbarian! Me, I looked forward to it.:)

And of course, let's not forget the people who were/are upset because they feel Casavir was killed off just so this new romance option could move into his place. I personally loved Casavir, but find that plot point to be fitting and tragic, but still heroic (he died to save others).

If the half-orc barbarian from NWN1 was ever a romance option (he was an honorable, thoughtful sort, of course), I'd have taken him in a heartbeat because I liked the character.:)

From what I saw, you're correct, even though being bald fits the character perfectly.:) A lot of people weren't too happy about her not having hair.

I haven't actually gotten the game yet as my humble laptop has no chance of running it, but I've seen some pics of said wizard and she doesn't have anything to be ashamed of as far as looks are concerned. Considering the kind of strains adventuring puts on one's social life, I can certainly imagine an IC reaction along the lines of http://www.forumammo.com/cpg/albums/Upload/Upload/File0004220.JPG (http://www.forumammo.com/cpg/albums/Upload/Upload/File0004220.JPG)

Of course, this is all a moot point: she's a wizard, and an epic one, so technically speaking she will look how-******-ever she wants. Speaking of which,I can't help but think that a relationship where your significant other has access to the polymoprh spell can be, shall we say, rather original ;) .
