| andyhepburnuk01-15-05, 12:17 PM | why isnt there a massive multiplayer online roleplaying game for forgotten realms or did i miss something |
| Fey_Protector01-15-05, 12:59 PM | I read on the D&D forums that Wizards is making one, I don't think its in the FR setting though... |
| Blackbird2401-15-05, 05:38 PM | I think it's set in Eberron. I'd love to see an FR MMO game sometime in the future. |
| warlockco01-15-05, 07:50 PM | I think it's set in Eberron. I'd love to see an FR MMO game sometime in the future. I don't because it will destroy the Realms. Let Eberron have their game. The Realms doesn't need it. |
| Ranger REG01-15-05, 09:33 PM | Because I'm anti-MMORPG. It is just as bad as TCG, which to this day I blame these new hobby for the near-demise of RPG. :schemes: Like cable, I'd like to see the end of monthly fee and go for FREE. |
| Unamis01-16-05, 10:45 AM | Because it would get even worse than now, during the era when people claim to know something about the Realms after they've read 4 Drizzt books. Ye Gods.... |
| maynardjkeenan01-16-05, 07:19 PM | MMORPGs are the worst thing that have ever existed. It has absolutely nothing to do with roleplaying, it's pure crunch, crunch, sell my account. |
| BrianCritchley01-16-05, 08:10 PM | Because it would get even worse than now, during the era when people claim to know something about the Realms after they've read 4 Drizzt books. Ye Gods.... yeah a MMORPG woukld be BAD for FR, especially if WOTC started making it well....... offical.. you'll note even with the ebberon MMORPG it's on a continent other then the "main continent" |

As much as they claim to be role-play systems they are nothing more than Hack-N-Slash. Only reason I even play City of Heroes, is because there is no such thing as Equipment, so everyone is as equal as the archetype and powers they choose. |
| ryld_argith14901-21-05, 09:51 AM | Has anyone heard of good things about NeverWinter Nights? I'm getting it soon, and I just want to know things about it; it was made by Bioware Corp. , and they made Baldur's Gate games on PC, and they kinda sucked. |

Baldur's Gate games were good. You blasphemer! Anyways NWN is kinda old, NWN 2 is coming out next year. It has a decent story, I really like way characters are set up and the quick bars. Online play is like this... what are you looking for? There are PW's around, you just have to look. Matters on DM, content, and set up. Some of the PWs are very hardcore DnD, which I like. There's a pretty big community for NWN. All you have to do is look around, search. It'll take some time to learn and get used to things. If you do get NWN, get the Platinum Edition. Anyways, I like the game, as long as there's a good DM and a well made world. |

I played both games, Baldurīs Gate I and II (including both games expansions :D ), and they was very good games. Also I remeber most of the NPCs and they was very cool. (I think a lot of people remember Minsk: Go for the eyes Boo, go for the eyes, gooooooo) As for NWN I played it a lot. Not only the original games ans his expansions (that game get 2 expansions) but I played module over module. History over history. I create a character since first level and even played in epic modules. Each history was different for the other. Each module got a different creator. Personnally I recommend that game. If you can purchase it, go and play. If you do, I am sure that youīre gonna enjoy It in the same way I do. Also, if you donīt play the campaing, you can play it at internet connection, with a lot of people who enter in different realms over the Internet. |
| Aimian Silverflash01-25-05, 01:51 AM | I played Everquest for a year or so, and then quit. It has nothing to do with role playing. Just jump on the hack-n-slash levelling treadmill like everyone else. They say the newer ones are suppose to be better, like Guildwars and World of Warcraft, but after loosing a year of my life to EQ, I dare not look. :D I played NWN, and really liked it though. Still do sometimes. Looking forward to NWN 2. |
