| Simvail_tgw07-04-05, 11:02 PM | Can I have more information on Moander ? Simon |
| Dielzen07-04-05, 11:16 PM | Novels: Curse of the Azure Bonds The Wyvern's Spur Song of the Saurials Sourcebooks: Faiths & Avatars (2e) Lost Empires of Faerun (3.5) I'm sure there's others, but those are the major sources I can think of. |
| Kuje3107-04-05, 11:36 PM | Cormanthyr sourcebook for the high magic ritual that was used to seal him away from Realmspace. The FR Atlus. Curse of the Azure Bonds module Heroes and Villian's Lorebooks There's also Masquerades and Finder's Bane novels that tie in with the three mentioned above. | Simvail_tgw07-05-05, 07:44 PM | Could he be reborn ? |
| Kuje3107-05-05, 07:54 PM | Could he be reborn ? I don't see why not. Not all of his portfolios were taken and there was one passage in a old sourcebook where he left a bit of his divine essance behind. I can't recall what sourcebook it is in though but I want to say maybe it's one of the rumors in the Elminster's Ecologies box set. But maybe it's in Volo's Guide to Cormyr...... |
| Simvail_tgw07-05-05, 08:05 PM | So the Tilverton Cataclysm could be that event ? So Moander would have been brought back by his remaining clergy and caused the fall of Tilverton ? (If I'm right Ed should tell me in private) Simon |
| HVulpes07-05-05, 08:14 PM | Fall of Tilverton, no Moander. Involves the Shades as reported in Rise of the Archmages. Darkwatch in Southern Dales holding Moander essence (Cormanthor: Empire of Elves, I believe), Yes. Possible Resurrection of Dead God, Yes. Attack Force of Elves, Finderites, Selunites, Tymorians and others hunting the Clerics of Moander, Yup. Interesting Campaign idea, Sure. |

(If I'mht Ed should tell me in private) Simon Aww, loook Kuje. Isn't he so cute thinking that Ed's on these boards publicaly? He must be new!!! What should we do with him??? Ed is a very busy boy. If you ever want to ask a public question to him, go over to Candlekeep.com/forum and post there in the Writers section. A Private One, you can email Kuje who just *might* email Ed for you. Takes a week or few but you'll have a direct answer. |

Would the Beshie's be interested in killing the Clerics of Moander as well??? I mean you never know what Tyche's halves would do... |

For the record: I DO NOT have Ed's email address and I use the same chain of command most of us use, which is the mailing list or Candlekeep's boards. :) |

| Alac Luin07-05-05, 11:20 PM | I can attest that Kuje does use the same process any of us would use to get information from Ed. I've seen his posts there asking questions. Kuje does have a good memory and is able to categorize and find answers that Ed has made to questions at some point in the past. Has Kuje met Ed? yes, but thousands of gamers have met Ed over the years, at cons and such. Does Kuje ask Ed a lot of questions? sure does, but in the same way anyone else does. There is absolutely no reason to believe Kuje has some special "Ed Access" at all. |

| Alac Luin07-06-05, 12:16 PM | Back on topic. Moandar may be reborn.... But his faithful may not know he is dead. They are receiving spells when they pray to Him, only it's Lolth. |
| Simvail_tgw07-06-05, 06:19 PM | So Moander (Lord of decaying undead) Couldn't have make a deal with the Shadow King ? I mean the Essence of a god is far more powerful than the essence of a mortal. So in death they may be able to make small messages to some one. The shadows could have make that Cataclysm to make a lot of death to have a huge amount of decaying dead to make Moander a new "body" Creating an half plane in the process ? Simon |
