10-03-03, 01:58 AM Okay, was it me, or did some of this new Perilous Gateways article seem badly researched?

"Mithral Hall, home to about 5,000 souls (mostly dwarves) is in the Silver Marches at the edge of the Spine of the World mountains. It falls under the able leadership of Eighth King of Mithral Hall, Bruenor Battlehammer, who rules with a stern brow but a just heart. Mithral Hall and Silverymoon have been close allies ever since Battlehammer slew a shadow dragon nearly two hundred years ago."

So, the events of Streams of Silver happened 200 years ago? Try closer to 20. Proving this is not a typo, late rin the article we get:

"Mithral Hall had taken care of itself for the past 180 years and it would continue to do so."

Now, the shadow dragon, Shimmergloom, took over Mithral Hall about 200 years ago, driving the dwarves out, so this might be where Mr Haddok is confused.

What does everyone else think?

10-03-03, 02:39 AM I find a great many things about the perilous gateways articles poorly researched. (one of them even had a cleric of Fharlanghn in it).

10-05-03, 12:00 AM I stopped reading the portal web-articles about 8 of them or so, ago. I mean, just how many campaigns revolve around portals anyway? If anyone from WotC is listening: ditch the portal articles, you've beaten them to death with a rock! Something new, please.
