just destryoed a Great White Worm, and now will make it to 16th level.

It made me feel good that they worked as a team (something I have been trying to do since 4th level).

What are some good ideas to carry this group on? We were just in the frozen north and are on our way back to Cormyr.

Thanks in advance.

Well, it's been a while since I've ran a game for higher level chars, but depending on what point in time you are playing, there are a few things you could do. If you are playing at the present time, you could have your players do some political intrigue and either help prevent or help start a war between some of the weakened cities or against Shade. This seems to be the big focus on the land currently, there is a lot of turmoil and a lot of the big cities are kind of on a razors edge about what to do. It's only a matter of time before more war breaks out.

I also though dealing with the return of the Witch King in Vaasa has always been a pretty fun idea. It's very Lord of the Ringsish hehe. It would give the players some higher level stuff, and while they're at it, they could go poke around at the Red Wizards since they're somewhat in the neighborhood =P.

If there is nothing really fun to do in the Realms at that point, planeshopping is always a solution. With Sigil and that city in the Epic Level Handbook, forgot what it's called, you could have some fun higher end content dealing with the planes. Planar crossroad cities are always fun for some high level action.

Haven't checked it with regards to the levels, but there is a nice little short adventure at the end of Faiths & Pantheons, dealing with the People of the Black Blood or something. Forest of Hullack and all ...

By 16th level these PC's should have quite a hefty number of Enemies left in their wake. Is there any overall Metaplot in your campaign? Something festering in the background of your game world that is finally bubbling over?

Old enemies returning, or friends of the enemies they have destroyed.

Undermountain very deadly place. And there are tons of ways to get into it. Not all of which are in waterdeep.

Cult of the Dragon? Always a fun group of enemies to throw at the PC's.

Perhaps some demon lord, is extending his arm into the realms. harvesting the souls of people(wherever), trying to increase his power, for a war with another demon.

A sidetrack into Anauroch and a phaerimm plot.

16th level? High? Bah. My PCs are 22nd. Now thats starting to become a pain. Around 16th level I had worked toward getting the PCs to try to settle and establish something like a base or town so that there'd be something I could use for future campaigns. Well they didn't. But I had the BBEG as a NPC from way back. I guess you could do the same. Rehash some people they met in their early careers. Thats always fun. Around this time, they started really making enemies with large groups of people. They've been tracking the pcs for some time and are going to come back for revenge.

Wow thanks for the help. I was thinking of the idea of old enemies. But the Undermountain came to mind.

I was going to try and hook them into undermountain by notifyingthe players that an old enemy of thiers was there building an army to destroy thier beloved Cormyr.
