| Dungeon_Master10-04-03, 10:27 AM | I'm needing a place in the realms that would support a mildly Old West setting (bassically I need someplace like Arizona where I could put in a bit of an Old West style town; gunslingers, saloons, dancehalls, bandits on horseback, ect). Any ideas on where would work for this?? |
| Faraer10-04-03, 10:35 AM | Pistols aren't common weapons anywhere in canonical Faerūn, but the Western Heartlands and the Border Kingdoms are the right kind of frontier regions. |
| Morka10-04-03, 11:50 AM | The Shaar is also a huge (shinning) plain, it could be a good place to put a large herd of bovine, with horsemen to guard them. Instead of pistol, use hand crossbows. |

Instead of settlers moving across country, it can be caravans running across country. If you want a lot of information on Delzimmer and Kholtar, you can read the archives (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/archive.asp?x=fr/es,3) of all the info that Ed Greenwood wrote about the areas. I was rather excited about this info, as it is never mentioned. |

Well, that one doesn't matter too much, since I've got early cased firearms included in the game. (revolvers, shotguns, ect. Our groups is a bit steampuck :) ) The Shaar *might* work, but I'm looking for something more like Arizona or Nevada, New Mexico, ect. Looking for that kind of terrain/climate. |
