Need help choosing a deity [Archive] - Wizards Community

Magic - Mystra, Azuth, Savras, Velsharoon, Cyric
Water - Istishia, Umberlee, Eldath, Valkur
Chaos - No one in particular, but there's a lot of Chaotic deities
Knowledge - Oghma primarily, but also Deneir and Shar has 'secrets' (knowledge that other people don't have)
Evil - See 'Chaos'

Not really--he's more about craftsmanship (applied knowledge). Oghma is the main "knowledge" deity.

Technically his specialty is illusion magic, but Cyric comes close. He is Chaotic Evil. You get other interesting stuff along with him like Intrigue, Deception, and Strife.

She's the Goddess of the Sea, Evil, and Chaotic.

While not a magic goddess, you can toss the occasional prayer to Shar.
(Goddess of Secrets) or Mystra.
