Need help with Drow Campaign [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-10-04, 12:03 PM I was thinking of running a Drow-based game, but I was wondering what 3rd ed. books have been released that would help, since I havent been to the Realms for along long time...
I do have numerous 2nd ed accessories that will help like Drow of the Underdark and the MENZO box set.
I was looking through WOTC product catalog, but only see some possibilities like Underdark .
I was alittle disappointed, because I remember the artwork WOTC had of the YEAR OF THE DROW and all we get is one book? (or was it all novels?).
SO is there any other books that would help??

Other then that.. FRCS has some info about the new drow who are all over the Dalelands.. War of the Spiderqueen might be a great read if you want the new update version on whats happening down there.

Also, City of the Spiderqueen might be a good adventure for you to run after a while.

07-11-04, 02:12 AM I'll definitly pick up Underdark.
I really should start reading the War of the Spiderqueen.

07-11-04, 03:15 AM Just use your old 2E stuff as source material and update with material from Underdark. That is what I'm doing with the campaign I just started.

My players even surprised me, I was expecting a party of all Drow Priestesses. But I have an all Female party of 1 Fighter, 1 Ranger, 1 Rogue, 1 Priestess.

As to what CR to throw at them, even though they are ECL 3, I am treating them as normal ECL 1 party for the most part, especially with the heavy melee combat creatures they will be encountering at first. While with magical spell based creatures I willl prob treat them as an ECL 3 party.
