| Ssussunriyh12-15-04, 06:43 PM | Drow sleeping poison is listed in the Monster Manual. Since the poison is not a magical effect, drow and other elves are susceptible to it. It works on any creature vulnerable to poisons, taking into account the DC 13 Fortitude save. |

According to the 3.5 SRD Poison (Ex): An opponent hit by a drow’s poisoned weapon must succeed on a DC 13 Fortitude save or fall unconscious. After 1 minute, the subject must succeed on another DC 13 Fortitude save or remain unconscious for 2d4 hours. A typical drow carries 1d4–1 doses of drow knockout poison. Drow typically coat arrows and crossbow bolts with this poison, but it can also be applied to a melee weapon. Note that drow have no special ability to apply poison without risking being poisoned themselves. Since this poison is not a magical effect, drow and other elves are susceptible to it. A DC 13 shouldn’t be hard for a party of 11th level. I also think I saw a DC 18 version in another book. If it is important that the PCs get captured to a story line, say a small amount of this stuff has been made by a Drow alchemist that has a DC 25 for the same effect. This uber sleep poison does not last long sat 1d2 days and cannot be learned how to make by PCs. |

PC: "OK, I got a 32." DM: "Oh, darn, just missed it, the DC was 33." Other PC: "You told me it was 25." DM: "That dart had better poison on it." |
