| Oghma01-21-05, 09:38 AM | I've been invited to play in a FR game tonight, and I need inspiration. I haven't played in FR for ages. I generally like social characters, and I'm ok with being a cleric. Our group tends to not play clerics, for some reason. The only other class I know is in the party is a paladin. 1st level, 30 point buy, all the 3.5 complete books, FR books, and Races of stone are fair game. Dragon magazine builds are also possible if they are FR based. Help a fella out with some good concepts. I'm wide open. --Oghma |
| Mystery Man01-21-05, 11:49 AM | Play a bard, they have healing spells, are steeped in lore, provide inspiration in battle, and can handle themselves in a fight. Just make sure you confer with your DM that he'll need to provide for your bardic knowledge skill. |
| Mendicant01-21-05, 07:08 PM | Play a Dweomerkeeper. If I was to actually get to play instead of DM, I'd love to play one. |
| Aimian Silverflash01-25-05, 01:42 AM | I'll toss up a couple of my latest character ideas... Chaotic Good Teifling sorcerer from Rashemen. He/she was the result of a bad summoning spell, and the resulting rampaging demon. Mother died during childbirth. -However you've never gotten the whole story... Ghostwise Halfling Druid. (Gets telepathy-See FRCS) Found as a small child with a den of wolves by an elven druid. Was raised around druidic circles. Now rides around on a wolf, one of his closest friends. Neutral-Good Elven Necromancer - This guy is quite a mix of personalities. He has the soul and will of a paladin, with the heart of a cut-throat rogue. He is quite pure at heart, but is very, very jaded at evil-kind, and it’s ways. (Throw in a jaded past.) He feels that necromancy/witchcraft is not necessarily a force of evil, by any means. It is a force that can be used for both good, and evil. He actually believes that necromancy/witchcraft is the best way to battle evil. And he intends to use it... Human Monk - Devote worshiper of "Ao, the one true god." Only that Ao doesn't grant clerical powers, so the followers have resorted to the ways of the monks to defend themselves...He is always going around preaching about Ao, even more-so than the priest of the group. He speaks of the coming of Ao, and that "the coming of the God of Gods is near!" (Would be especally fun if the campaign is starting off just before the time of troubles.) Hope it inspires someone. :D |
