| MiPPLE09-05-06, 02:43 AM | Our adventuring party (Bard, Warblade, Assassin, Rogue/FTR, Psion, Wizard) is growing in reknown. Unfortunately we have no idea what to call ourselves. What is your group called/ any cool ideas for a name. Thanks |
| Berzerker_prime09-05-06, 11:47 AM | Name the group after something that happened on one of their adventures thus far. My group blew up a keep by blowing up the toilet way back in level 2, so we're known as the Company of the Combustible Commode. Meanwhile the group I GM for set a troll on fire and shoved it into an ever-falling pit trap, so they're known as the Fellowship of the Ever-Falling Troll. Such names work best when the groups choose it for themselves, though. But, there's nothing that says an NPC Bard can't get a hold of a tale and start spreading the name around. :D Sweet water to you! Berz. |
| selunatic239709-05-06, 12:10 PM | How about "The Twilight Irregulars" ? It sounds cool and isn't tied to anything concrete. :) |
| Lone_Arrow09-05-06, 12:56 PM | Now this all depends on what you guy's do? Use an event or alignment cruch. My last adventuring party was called The High Forest Wanderers But it was a group of elves who adventured in the high forest boring but it worked. |
| MerrikCale09-05-06, 09:59 PM | My group -the Noble Wolves, don't know if that helps you. |
| Lord Karsus09-05-06, 10:10 PM | -It really depends on some of their past notable actions. Sure, you could pick something generic, like the "Company of the Sword", or the "Fellowship of the Ring". But, those ring hollow. My advice- hone in on something that you think was important to the group, and extrapolate a name. |
| MiPPLE09-05-06, 10:51 PM | These are all really good suggestions. Hmmm, I'm trying to think of noteable things we have done. We stopped an invasion on the elf lands from a large group of outsider orcs. Hmm... I'll think on it. |
| MiPPLE09-05-06, 11:58 PM | To those intersted, we came up with a name. The Band of the Burrowing Beetle... The story, we found that cursed amulet of natural armor that crawls in your skin and eats your heart (something to that effect). And our assassin made a beastly check to get this necklace around one of the heads on a Hydra. Even though the hydra has multiple hearts, our DM said because it was so awesome, that the beast was slain. Now we plan on selling our "Artifact of power" to unknowing nobleman and having ti kill them so we can get it back. Yay. |

| Asadeseth09-06-06, 01:43 AM | Hmmm let me guess your group ins't of the o good alignment? Might not want to use a scam as the groups name, that may come around to bight you. |
| The Ubbergeek09-06-06, 10:42 AM | The Rust Stilletos? The Blackened Ones? The Templars of Wealth? :P |
| MerrikCale09-06-06, 10:35 PM | To those intersted, we came up with a name. The Band of the Burrowing Beetle... I like it. Has a certain flair. Plus, you are the Beatles of Faerun. |
| Lone_Arrow09-07-06, 08:52 AM | I like it. Has a certain flair. Plus, you are the Beatles of Faerun. Who plays ringo? |
| Lord Karsus09-07-06, 09:29 AM | -Eh, forget about Ringo. |
| Lone_Arrow09-07-06, 10:23 AM | -Eh, forget about Ringo. as in ringo star see two up from here |
| Lord Karsus09-07-06, 02:13 PM | -Poor Ringo. He get's no respect. Of course, he was kinda just a last minute replacement, but still...Of all the Beatles, he was the only one who didn't have a good Post-Beatles career. |
| MerrikCale09-07-06, 09:31 PM | Are you saying Ringo was a thief not a bard? |
