| Azuresabre08-07-03, 01:06 PM | I am running a campaign (2ed) in Fearun right now, and my group consist's of 2 half-orc's one's a fighter/cleric of tempus, the other is fighter/ thief, 2 half-elves one is a fighter the other a thief, 2 elves one is a thief swashbuckler, the is a mystic, and one human boy a dual classed thief/mage. They are all from waterdeep, with the execption of the human boy who is from calimshan. They are a scion's of high class merchant families with some very shady dealing's. they are on there way back to waterdeep from calimshan after a botched trading run. they ran into some NPC's that need to be escorted to phlan. So what I have is a treasure hunt campiagn (they just don't it yet) they are going to try to resurrect Amuantor. But they need the key item to to focus his last remaining essence. So what I did was take the "sun scepter" a symbol of power for the faith (much like the hand of bane in Finder's Bane). Broke it into 5 pieces and scatered all over the realms. they already have one piece. but don't it yet. they'll find that out when the get to phlan. but i need some ideas for insanely powerful weapons that my PC's can use. I already have two of them written up the first in the "Tongue of Tiamot" a +3 bastard sword +5 vs. dragons, does triple damage vs. all dragons and give a bunch of other cool thing's plus a curse. next I have the bow of shenine(sp) the elven moon goddess, It's a +3 bow all range's count as short, it fires magic missiles and can add a statis effect to 3 arrows per day (poison, mummy rot, stone, etc...)plus a curse. but I am having a hard time coming up with anything else. Especially for the swashbuckler. Please any replies or ideas put into 2ed terms. thanx in advance |

As in, perhaps, a piece of each weapon is actually part of the scepter so they have to find these weapons to complete the quest? Or are the weapons something to start them off with to help them survive the quest? Either way, have you read the CrossGen Comics title "Sojourn"? Your idea sounds like that comic's storyline... but minus the fire-wielding lich Big Bad Evil Guy. Whether or not its intentional, I approve; it should be a fun romp for the players trying to revive the old sun god. I'll give some thought to weapon ideas comparative to the examples you've already given. |
| Azuresabre08-08-03, 12:02 PM | No I've never heard of that comic. And yes they need the weapons, the weapons where brung by the representives of the the 5 races: Dragons, Humans, Elves, Orc's, and Giants. they all had one of these insanely powerful weapons, and used them to sunder the "sun scepter". While the character 's will be using these weapons they will have to destroy them in the final ritual in order bring the Sun God back. but amaunator is going to come back insane  so the character's are going to be fighting to bring this God , only to unleash a horrible half crazy Diety back unto Toril. :invasion: |

By the way, could you send me the requirments/bonuses for half-orcs in 2e. The Monstrous Manual doesn't have it and I don't have a book that does. Peace -Will http://www.angelfire.com/md2/willspalace |
| Sekhemid08-08-03, 07:45 PM | Where can I find the stats for the Crenshenibon?I saw it in the game Icewind Dale and just loved it... Ok......so you need a über-weapon for orcs right?Go to the Sword&Fist book and check that orcish shotput....a ball of iron! So you enchant it and name Gruumsh´s Eyeball.....ahhahahahhah!!!!!:smirk: |
| GoodOlWillickers08-08-03, 07:59 PM | It's in "Volo's Guide to all Things Magical." I remember it being in IWD, too, but it's really not as weak as that one. |
| Azuresabre08-11-03, 11:32 AM | half orc's get a +1 str, +1 con., -1 cha. str and con max out @ 19. and they have some level restriction's but I don't have my books with me right now it's in the complete book of humanoids. |
