| Laveral07-10-03, 07:33 PM | I am starting a new campaign up this next week, and I have hit a bit of a stump in the road. I just need some ideas to help shoot me in the right direction. The party will will be 6th level and consist of: Human Cleric of Selune Human Ranger/Rogue Sun Elf Wizard Albino Drow Elf Fighter Half-Elf Ranger Gold Dwarf Fighter/Paladin/Templar of Moradin Gnome Druid of Mielikki The game will start with the PCs as part of the collection of a Dwarven collector that collects stone statues of actual people. He keeps them in his castle and decorates his plae with it. The Dwarf in someway was able to cross himself with a Medusa and make the touch of his skin as well as the stare of his eyes turn flesh to stone. When the Dwarf suddenly kills over dead the PCs are freed from their state and are free to adventure. The adventures will take place in the North and the Silver Marches. I was thinking of having something go on that led to the involvement of either the Church of Shar, the Church of Cyric, or the cult of the dragon. I was actually thinking of starting with either the Church of Cyric or the Cult of the Dragon and have it lead to an even deeper plot that involves the Church of Shar and maybe even part of the Arcane Brotherhood. Comments and opinions please. Any help you can give me will be much appreciated. |

Seems to me the person being it wants to be drow but doesn't want all the baggage that goes with it. Mainly the part about being hated and feared everywhere he goes. I suggest, if this is the case, that the drow ether uses the disguise skill to hide his appearence or uses magic. |

It was no big deal that he had it, since all the dwarf ever did was sit in his dungeon and mutter over his collection of statues. But now, the Cult of the Dragon has come in, killed the dwarf and taken the magic widget. Suddenly, it has become a threat to all the land. The PC's will be glad they were freed and the dwarf is dead, but now only they can stop the Cult before they put the magic widget to some truly evil use. Once the PC's are hot on the trail of the Cultists, have the Church of Shar or whoever else learn that the magic widget has reappeared after all these years. Now, everybody wants it. That's what I'd do. |
