This class was designed s othat anyone who wishes to become a chosen of mystra in a Forgotten Realms Campaign would be allowed to do so, with the DM's permission, of course.

Ascendant of Mystra
The Ascendant of Mystra is a transformational prestige class designed to allow players to become a Chosen of Mystra. While there are no actually requirements, the DM must first approve the taking of this class before a PC can take it.
Whilst taking levels in this class, a character gains no HD, BAB, or save increases.

Constitution increase: at every level, the Chosen of Mystra’s constitution score increases by two. This counts as a racial increase, and is not inherent or any other kind of bonus, and can not be dispelled in any way.

Chosen Immunities; At each level, the chosen of Mystra may choose two spells (one at level three) to be completely immune to. This functions as the spell immunity, save that the character can choose spells do not allow spell résistance.

Chosen Spell Like abilities: At each level, the Chosen of Mystra may choose two (or one, at third level) spell that may be cast as a spell like ability once per day, with a caster level equal to the character’s hit dice.

Mastery of the Weave: at each leve, the chosen of Mystra gains a +1 bonus to call spells and spell-like effects, and a +1 bonus to caster level.

Chosen of Mystra Template:

Enhanced Constituition: The Chosen of Mystra template adds +10 to the character’s Constitution score.

Chosen Spell-like Abilities (Sp): The Chosen of Mystra can choose nine spells, one of each level 1-9, each to be usable as a spell-like ability once per day. These spells are cast as if the Chosen were a sorcerer with a caster level equal to his Hit Dice. Once chosen, these spells cannot be changed.

Chosen Spell Immunities (Ex): The Chosen of Mystra can choose nine spells, one of each level 1-9, to be granted permanent Spell Immunity to. However unlike normal Spell Immunity, a Chosen of Mystra may choose to be immune to spells that are normally not subject to Spell Resistance. Once chosen, these spells cannot be changed.

Immortality (Ex): The Chosen of Mystra ceases to age, is immune to all aging effects, and cannot be aged by any magical, supernatural, or extraordinary means, nor can a Chosen die as a result of old age. He is immune to all forms of Disease, Poison, Disintegration, and all effects that duplicate those conditions.

Exceptional Vitality (Su): A Chosen does not to need sleep, although he must rest normally to regain spells. A Chosen is immune to Sleep and Fatigue effects, and he may go without food or water for up to seven days at a time. A Chosen of Mystra regenerates 1 point of damage per level every hour, and subdual damage heals at a rate of 1 point per level every 5 minutes. If a Chosen loses a limb, an organ, or any other body part then it regenerates in the same fashion of a Regeneration spell.

Mastery of the Weave (Ex): The Chosen receives a +5 bonus to all saving throws against spells, spell like effects, and supernatural abilities. he also receives a +5 bonus to her effective caster level by for purposes of determining level-dependent spell variables such as damage dice or range, and caster level checks. These bonuses stack with any other similar bonuses The Chosen may already possess.

Enhanced Arcane Knowledge (Ex): The Chosen of Mystra gains a +10 insight bonus to all Spellcraft and Knowledge (Arcana) checks to identify a spell cast through the Weave, or to decipher any Arcane writing he comes across.

*If the Chosen has levels as a Wizard, then he may scribe, learn, and research new spells at a faster rate than a normal Wizard. To scribe a new spell requires only one hour level as opposed to one day, and the costs to research a new non-epic spell requires only one tenth the amount of time and gold as the spell would normally cost.

*If the Chosen has levels as a Sorcerer or Bard, he can choose to remove a known spell from her repertoire and replace it with a new one once per tenday. The new spell must be of the same spell level as the one which was removed. Removing a known spell in this fashion does not prevent a Chosen from relearning the same spell in the future.

*If the Chosen has levels as a Cleric, Paladin, Druid, or Ranger, then he gain access to all spells in the Magic Domain in addition to any other spells normally available to her.

Weavesight (Su): The Chosen of Mystra can detect magic at will, up to a range of 90 feet or her line of sight, whichever is greater.

Name and Song Attunement (Su): Whenever any of The Chosen’s name, titles, nicknames, or his Truename is spoken, he hears it and the next nine words that person speaks. In addition The Seven Sisters can also hear the Rune of the Chosen whenever it is recited, and the next nine words spoken by the being who recited that rhyme.

Silver Fire (Su):
At will- the Chosen of Mystra can be protected as if under the effects of a Ring of Warmth, a Ring of Mind Shielding, or a Necklace of Adaptation. The Chosen can also purge herself of all external magical and supernatural compulsions or mind-affecting effects as if a Greater Dispelling had been cast upon her. This use of the Silverfire counts as a free action, however only one of the above effects can be in use at any one time.

Once per round- If he can cast spells, then the Chosen of Mystra may channel the inherent energy of her spells or spell-like abilities into a bolt of Silverfire. The bolt is a ranged touch attack with a range of 120 feet that deals 1d12 points of damage (no save) per level of the spell channeled to create the effect. This use of the Silverfire counts as a standard action.

Once per Hour- the Chosen of Mystra can unleash the Silverfire in a 5ft wide/70 ft long beam that deals 12d12 damage to any being or object in the beams path. Creatures in the path of the beam do not receive a saving throw. The beam burns through barriers and physical obstructions in the same fashion as a lightning bolt spell. Alternately this use of the Silverfire may be unleashed in a cloud-like emanation 5ft wide at the base, 70 ft long, and 70 ft wide at the end; this effect deals no damage but it permanently banishes all Dead Magic areas that is comes into contact with, and dispels all Antimagic Fields and similar magical and supernatural effects as if a Greater Dispelling had been cast upon them (even if the specified effects are not normally subject to Greater Dispelling). This use of the Silverfire counts as a standard action.

Once per Day- the Chosen of Mystra may call upon the Silverfire to duplicate the effects of a Greater Teleport, to transport her to any location in which he previously had used the Silverfire in any of it’s forms.

All above effects of the Silverfire function as if cast by a 20th level sorcerer, or as a sorcerer equal to the character level or effective caster level of the Chosen (whichever is greater).

Unknown Powers: Many of the powers of a Chosen of Mystra remain as of yet unrevealed, in some cases even to the Chosen themselves.

Special thanks to The Simbul for her excelent work on her new Chosen of Mytra template.

Feedback welcome.

Personally I think the Chosen of Mystra are powerful enough as it is, good work to whoever made it though.

Edit: Just noticed you said that The Simbul made it, I should have known that... :smirk: Good work!

I didnt make the Prestige Class, but I did modify and clarify the descriptions of some of the abilities, and altered and added a few others.

I like the concept of breaking up the Template into a level-by-level class, although IIRC most people propose the original template's level adjustment should be around +8 or so, with my revisions it might put it a bit higher.

Personally I prefer a Chosen of [insert Deities name] Template not to be tied into a PrC, or to have a Level Adjustment, since a Deity grants those powers to the being, rather than gaining them through training, inheritance, or an aquired skill, and plus they can be revoked by the Deity at any time. Thus if a Chosen of a Deity did something to make that Deity very mad, she would wind up with either an altered ECL, or several levels in a class with no benefits. Although the same could happen to a Cleric who angered his patron, the Cleric would still keep her BAB BSB Hitpoints, Skills, etc, whereas a Level Adjustment template character or a character with virtual levels in a Template based class would lose all of them.

P.S. Kain, how are you enjoying HotU? :P

Well, Simbul, I made this just so that if you want to become a chosen of mystra and you don't start out at a high enough level, then you can become one later.

P.S. You have NWN? Cool! Wanna play sometime?

Hey good job. Can you make one up using the chosen template for Erevan Ilesere?

Chosen of Erevan Ilesere

Also known as The Mischiefmaker

its a template that can be added to any Elf, Half Elf, or Fey creature.

A Chosen of Erevan uses the character's statistics and special abilities except as noted below.

Erevans Oath: Chosen of Erevan must be Wild and unruly, mischievous, independent, and utterly unpredictable! They play tricks on others for the sheer joy it gives them. They oppose settled interests of every sort and delight in upsetting both the rule of law & powerful people and in basically creating mayhem. They have little to do in formal duties, and minister to the faithful primarily through example, and promoting the skills required to be a mischievous rogue.

BONUS SPELLS (Sp): Constant~~ Protection from Law, Ventriloquism, False vision. At will~~ Invisibility, Change self. 5/day:~~ Cats grace, Mislead. 3/day~~ Word of Chaos, Mirror Image. 1/day~~ Timestop, Cloak of chaos.

Immunities (Ex): The Chosen of Erevan are immune to aging effects and do not physically age. They also get a bonus equal to the Chosen's Charisma modifier +4 to all saving throws against spells from the Law domain and any spell with the Law descriptor in it. They also add the same modifier against polymorph & shapechanging effects.

Chaotic Ally (Sp): The Chosen may summon 1 Ghaele Eladrin. He may use this ability one time a day.
(cast as a chaos spell only)

Fury of the Fey (Su): This ability works the same as a Mirror Image spell cast by a sorcerer of 20'th level, except that when an image of the chosen is struck, that image turns into a furious Pixie with all its natural abilities attacking the creature who struck the image for a duration of 3 rounds, or untill the creature or the Pixie is slain. This ability is the result of an ancient pact between Erevan Ilesere and the Pixies. Exactly where the Pixies come from, no one knows. The Pixies of Evermeet say that the summoned pixies do not come from their number, nor is there any evidence that the pixies are summoned or teleported from anywhere on Toril. Most believe that the pixies are actually the spirits of slain pixie warriors who died in service to the Seldarine in ages past. This ability can be used once a day.

Saves: The character adds + 3 as a luck bonus to all saving throws.

Abilities: Increase from the character as follows: Dexterity +8, Charisma +4.

Skills: Bluff, Disguise, Hide, and Move silently are class skills, regardless of the character's class.

Feats: (You gain these feats automaticly without meeting their prerequisites) Persuasive, and Charlatan.

Climate/Terrain: Same as the character.
Organization: Same as the character, But must be a devoted follower of Erevan Ilesere.
Challenge Rating: Same as the character +4.
Alignment: CG, CN,
Treasure: Same as the character.
Advancement: Same as the character

Mielikki has Chosen... Jeryth Phaulkon and the three top bananas of the Emerald Enclave.

As for making Drizzt a Chosen, that would be jumping the shark, and Salvatore has stated that he has no desire to jump the shark with Drizzt.
