Well, we knew about the Players guide, but the adventure is new. I think.

So, they'll be heading back to Spellgard...

Guess the new places aren't all that exciting if we're going back to that old place... or maybe its a new uber-Shar adventure for us to oooh and ahhh over. Yay!

I hope it isn't a "new uber-Shar adventure". :-/ Shar, bleh. I'm tired of her.

But she's uber... no, really, the almighty WotC said so...

Though I'm curious as to whether whatsherface is still moping around swooning over El though.

I'm tired of her.

now now, its not her fault. I still like her, despite the overuse. Its like one of those hit songs hey play over and over again, but you still like.

Publisher: Wizards of the Coast (September 16, 2008) ... that's not exactly like anytime soon.

well it couldn't be before the August 08 release of the Campaign Book. At least the Faerun stuff comes out fast once 4e happens

-Not much useful information, asides for the fact that they are being released. That new 4e Player's Guide to Faerūn is thirty-one pages shorter than the 3e Player's Guide to Faerūn. How many pages is the new FRCS supposed to be?
Uzzy

12-28-07, 07:55 AM
Nah, not entirely useful. I do hope WoTC give us some actual information soon about the Realms, as I'm tired of feeding off scraps.

Think if we complain and whine enough, they'll kill off Shar, too? :D

I'd be interested to learn more about Spellgard - too bad it'll be a 4e Realms product, and probably one about Sharrans/Shadovar invading the place, or some such... ah well, I'm pessimistic, what can I say?

Nothing wrong with Shar - just the folks that write her.

-Nah, I was just wondering. I mean, if the 4e FRCS has an extra 31 pages, things sort of work themselves out. If not, or if it's shorter than the 3e FRCS, we're losing out.

True, but I'm suffering from Shar burnout.

Its on Amazon, the 4e FRCS has 288 pages.

-The 3e FRCS has a total of 320 pages. So, we're losing 32 pages. Coupled that with the 31 pages we are losing in the 4e PGtF, we're losing 63 pages (with the same price tag, no doubt).

The World of Warcraft D20 Campaign Setting is 402 pages, and the art is gorgeous!

And they had 'good' Orcs first. :P

Not to worry. Both 4th Edition books will have a higher percentage of 'Cool' pages then the 3rd edition ones. Which clearly justifies the decrease in page count for presumably the same price.

I assume that was a sarcastic comment Uzzy?

Its final, goodbye FR gaming, hello Kyuss and homebrew:cool:

No. No it wasn't.

Well, the 3rd edition book in my opinion was essentially Realms Perfection in 320 pages, so I'm still going to be losing something. That and a lot of the 288 are probably going to be filled with "pretty pictures" rather than lore.:(

Sarcasm really doesn't translate well on the web. Which is bizarre, given that the WWW was created by an Englishman.

(Yes, my above posts were sarcasm, dear XHereticX!

Wow, then I truly wonder why you took the extra space to complicate a point that I apparently had grasp

Hint: If you want to display sarcasm try putting a roll-eyes symbol or using " " around your words. Makes it so much easier.

-Cheer up ol' boy you still get 'The Spellplague'. Who needs shiny new pic's, when they give to us 'The Spellplague'? That's better than cool, 9 day's a week. That's awesome 30hrs a day you know!;) :P

Each of the retailers that carry their books in the future will do so in a 'refrigerated section', like they have at the supermarket.

Ergo, they can GUARANTEE that all of their books will be MUCH cooler from now on. ;)
