Hey, does anyone know if Oil of Impact is in any of the Forgotten Realms books, and if so, which one? Thanks

-Books, as in novels? The Cleric Quintet, sure.

I meant one of the rulebooks. One of my PCs wants to buy some, but I can't find it in any of my Forgotten Realms books. Beginning to think it isn't in any of them.

-Gotcha.

-No, I don't know if there was anything 'official' written in any sourcebooks. I've utilized Oil of Impact in my own campaigns, however.

-It cost an extra 10 GP to place a small amount of Oil of Impact on a dart/arrow, and the oil did an extra 1d6 of damage when exploding. A vial (potion size) was also availible, for 25 GP, and it did 2d6 points of exploding damage when shattered.

I think they might have "renamed" it to 'oil of force bursts' found at the very bottom of this page (http://ww2.wizards.com/Books/Wizards/?doc=fr_deneir).

-So it seems. And, hey, I got the 1d6 right.

Not that my opinion is worth anything, buuuut....

I would use that as the priestly version, and Oil of Impact as the Arcane version. The effects would be the same, but perhaps use Shatter instead of Spiritual Weapon for the prerequisite for Wizards (explosive Runes would be more appropriate, but I'm going for keeping the level requirements basically the same).
