There doesn't even have to be a reason for the said pronouncing, just preference. Feel free to add on. To start things off... Aasimar- ah-zee-mahr Drow- dr-aow (as in "Ow, that hurt!") Duergar- duh-wehr-garr Genasi- jeh-nah-see Tanarukk- tah-nah-rook Tiefling- teef-ling Chondath- chahn-dath (for a while I pronounced all "Chondath"-related words with a hard "C-H" sound) Mulhorand- mool-hoe-rah-nd Also, I pronounce "r"s as "hard r"s, as spoken in Japanese and the Romance languages. Also, a lot of times I make the long "u" sounds. :) -C'SA :u:Bring Back Merfolk!!!:u:

Now, I might say just what idea that gives me, but BigSis and Sith would have my hide if I did. :angelhide * * * On a different note, here (http://www.antimoon.com/misc/phonetichelp.htm) is a site with a list of ASCII equivalents of phonetic symbols; it takes a bit more effort to find the right sound for each symbol (or vice versa), but it can make it easier to accurately explain sounds foreign to English pronunciation. Of course, anyone accustomed to using phonetic symbols can simply look up the ASCII version of the actual symbol.

I pronounce it as to find something. :) Also, I seem to have a habit (or problem...?) of pronouncing CH as hard, not the regular compound sound (like chomp). Karsus the Mad 05-30-05, 08:49 AM	it's pronounced my-lee-kee.....my leaky....hehehe.....from her F&P description....my fiance, being finnish, as is the name mielikki, mentioned my-eh-lee-kee would probably be a more accurate pronunciation. I always pronounced it melly-kee.
