Ooltul and the old Eye Tyrant adventures... [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-07-03, 02:28 PM I'm really liking the connection between the phaerimm and the beholders of the Underdark. Sooner or later in my campaign I want a titanic phaerimm conflict to wind up gating the PCs to Ooltul, or some other beholder city.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas concerning using those old Eye Tyrant adventures (specifically the Eye to Eye module) as a blueprint for Ooltul. Perhaps Mr. Reid himself can provide some feedback. I was thinking of having the "Elder Orb" and "Hive Mother" of the module to actually be epic phaerimms masquerading as beholder paragons. I'd really appreciate some ideas or feedback. Thanks a ton.

11-07-03, 02:56 PM Wow. You just brought back some memories; it's been a loooong time since I looked at those adventures. I'm not sure if I have any useful ideas for you off the top of my head, but I am curious to see what pops up on the thread. :)

11-07-03, 02:57 PM My gamers and I had a ton of fun with that campaign string. The Eye to Eye module is a must have concerning maps and ideas. It's a wonderful piece of material, and I'll never get rid of it.

I have an idea of what I want to do, but suggestions will be taken as they come.
