| E. Ravenwood06-24-06, 04:49 PM | Hello fello forgotten realmers, I'm planning on running a new campaign for my PC's from 1st level, although It seems I've encountered a bit of writer's block. I would like to set the campaign during the time of troubles, a dark, uneasy time fo Faerun, and have it run for a long time, starting just before the Time of Troubles until it ends. However, I can't think of any good campaign ideas that would occupy a majority of the time, like a long running quest, the main focus. If any of you would be gracious enough to lend me some insight or suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx |

As for using the ToT, your characters could become cursed by the malfunctioning magic, touched by gods. Meet gods.... Poison and kill gods(maybe :)) As for long term problems. Your land could be under threat... a war can make an interesting background. On minor issues... you could make enemies that tend to make it a point to make your characters' lives miserable. Well... i'm sure someone else can come up with more decent ideas. Some idea of the individual players, and the kind of characters they've created(along with histories) might be useful. People turning up that characters have history with, can be amusing at times. |
