Opinions Needed (Midnight, Cyric, Kelemvor, Adon) [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-19-03, 04:53 AM Soon I am going to be running a game set in an alternate FR setting where the time of troubles did not occur. In your opinions what would the main characters (Midnight, Cyric, Kelemvor, Adon)of that series stats and levels be if they never became gods (or good friends of gods in Adon's case)

I know they had really low level stats for the bunch in the 2nd edition Hall of Heroes, but I'm interested in hearing your opinions on how they would be updated.

06-19-03, 05:09 AM I suspect they would have ended up as pretty average adventurers. Cyric and Kelemvor would have ended up as mercenarys. Adon would have continued to serve Sune. Midnight probably would have joined adventuring parties as a mage for higher

06-19-03, 09:56 AM I tend to agree with Dargoth.

Most likely, the four of them will never meet, unless it's purely by coincidence.

Adon will continue to serve Sune, and Midnight should either be a mage for hire, or a complete hedonist attempting to seduce a rich mage so that she can continue to study magic & live comfortably at the same time.

Kelemvor & Cyric will be plain ol' mercs. Cyric's nasty tude may get the better of him & he might go the route of a freelance assassin.

You will also have to revise some geographical features in the world, as either dead & wild magic zones won't be as widespread, or won't exist at all.

Adon: 5th level cleric of Sune
Cyric: Rogue5/Fighter3 (1:1 translation or Rog5/Ftr1 according to the official 2e:3e translation guide)
Kelemvor: 5th level fighter
Midnight: 7th level wizard

Stats at the end of Waterdeep, but before ascension:

Adon: 5th level ex-cleric (lost his faith)
Cyric: Rogue5/Fighter4 (or Rog5/Ftr1 if you followed the official 2e:3e translation guide)
Kelemvor: 5th level fighter
Midnight: 9th level wizard

06-20-03, 11:56 AM Actually, Midnight would probably be dead, since at the beginning of Shadowdale, she was on the run from a bunch of guys who were trying to kill her for getting a bit too close to some major info on the Red Wizards.
