It was dice actually and the event was detailed in Faiths & Avatars. He also is from a different Prime Material/Crystal Sphere then Realmspaces. There's a small passage about this in the Stormlight novel. Faiths & Pantheons also has a little more info about the trio and one of the deities they slew.
