party needs help! [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-26-06, 08:45 AM BIG time problem guys...
we are a 3 membered party caught in the midlle of a big fight:
- Tsapoo, a human male ranger, archer with many favored enemies and a mighty bow
- Quenthiel,a female elf ranger+master of many forms
- Kiesloth, a human male bard+chameleon

The problem is we messed up with some powerful artifacts containing portions of the soul of Bane which his followers tried to take from us + the followers of Cyric + the clergy of Mystra! We managed to reach 16 lvl chased by all...in the way we lost 2 good friends,one decided to give up and not come back to life but the other has no option since his soul is traped in a gem and held in the "Skull port" beneath Waterdeep.
Sooooo does anyone have any idea how the three of us are supposed to enter Skull port manage to locate the soul gem of our friend and escape in one piece?
Keep in mind we have no outside help (extra people) and teleportation is not possible in there.
Please help cause ive reached no good ideas and the game is coming up... :confused:

05-26-06, 02:07 PM Assuming you are not the DM, I would do it the usual way. Walk around by night, check out the not so official traders, seek out taverns that do not look that "lawful" and ask for the way ... while paying the odd gold coin here and there. Alternatively, you could try and enter the city via Undermountain (think that is possible). Though I haven't got the books ready right now to tell you more. Funny old game, eh?!

05-26-06, 07:48 PM personlly I'd be giving this bit of bane's essence to the clergy of mystra, why are yu hanging onto it?

we actually have given the pieces to Mystra,the thing is the DM is playing it as LN so she and her clergy do not interfere in the game as help.

actually I wass more thinking it'd get the banites and cyricists off your back :)

there seem to be 6 pieces of the soul of Bane and we found 2. The thing is the stupid Cyricists and Banites believe we know where the rest are + the want reveange. Stupid fanatics!
