| Sayee_lo06-21-04, 12:49 PM | I'm new to these boards, but a big fan og all RPG! I'm just looking for see if I've missed any good PC games? These I've heard of: NWN Baldurs Gate 1,2 and the expansions Icewind Dale 1,2 and the expansions Planescape: Torment And I'm talking same genre as BG and Icewind Dale (and somewhat like NWN - but mostly beforementioned games) Regards, Sayee Lo |
| Cunning Linguist06-21-04, 02:18 PM | Well, there is also: Pool of Radiance Curse of the Azure Bonds Secret of the Silver Blades Pools of Darkness Hillfar Eye of the Beholder Eye of the Beholder II - The Legend of Darkmoon Eye of the Beholder III - Assault on Myth Drannor Dungeon Hack Gateway to The Savage Frontier Treasures of The Savage Frontier Menzoberranzan Pool of Radiance II - The Ruins of Myth Drannor Descent to Undermountain and Demon Stone. |
| Sayee_lo06-21-04, 02:28 PM | thanks, I'll look into those games |
| Ghorticus06-21-04, 03:17 PM | I would also recommend: Arcanum Fallout 1 & 2 And if you've got nothing to lose, you could try Lionheart (and may be one of the few that actually like the game). |
| MakesMeSick06-22-04, 02:29 PM | ... and let's not forget the Atari game: Temple of Elemental Evil (or is it Return to the...) Although I'm not sure if I can recommend this one... nice hack'n'slash graphics (like most CRPG) but the story line is too simplistic and there's almost no RP options. But I still kinda liked it. Most of the one's mentioned by Cunning Linguist are VERY old games start from '89/90 only the last three or four are from the last 4/5 years. Many of them were awesome, but thought you should know. If this doesn't matter to you, another great one, possibly the best RPG along with Pool of Radiance, is the predecessor to FallOut and that is Wasteland. This games story was written by Michael Stackpole, and had some of the best lines of any game I've played since! (not including Duke Nukem 3D). |

| Cunning Linguist06-23-04, 08:39 AM | Menzoberranzan is a pc game that takes you deep into the underdark. Lots a fighting and such, and Drizzt makes a guest apperence. It was one of those SSI games, from back in the days. (Dark Sun and Ravenloft SSI games where better then the FR games if you ask me) |
| Forsaken_Rocker06-23-04, 02:22 PM | thanks ill have to check into that, sounds really sweet |
