Hi all,

I am running a campaign with the bare minimum of resource materials (DMG, MMI, MMII, PHB), im poor and books are expensive. Anyway...I have some PC's that are wanting to invest some of their hard earned loot in a Merchant Company, is there any supplement that covers this sort of thing or some nifty house rules someone has that i can pilfer? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The upcoming "Power of Faerûn" accessory may have something in it re this topic but at the moment, nothing specifically for FR.

-There's nothing I can think up of rule-wise, so I think it's all up to you. If I were you, I would have the Merchant Company make payments to the PC group every so often. Most of the behind-the-scenes stuff should be taken care of behind-the-scenes. Have a representative from the company meet every so often with the PC's and have him give them their share of the profits- a few GP every so often. In the end, it is all up to you, though.

Expense aside, the DMG II has rules on running businesses (part of the reason why I got it).

-Ah, that's even better then.

I agree, the DMG II has all you'll need for business aspects.
