Ok so this is the problem.

So the party is in Faerun and just south (across the Sea of Falling Stars) of Westgate, and we have drawn the attention of the Night Masks by bodyguarding a dwarf armoursmith. Our Party is 5th level:
An Elvish Scout
A Human Warlock
A VoP Half-Orc Monk (of Illmater)
A Human Paladin of the God of Justice (mounted Combat Expert)
A Human Sorcerer (bloodline of fire, and the only Female)
A Human Cleric of Tempus
and
A Human Fighter (Undead Slayer archtype)

What we did was 2 fold. The first time we escort the Dwarf into the city we are attacked as we leave. Riders ride us down and we lay waste to them. We put the leaded in stocks, and let the underlings go (we don't even take their eq.)

The second time we are ambushed in Westgate. The leader this time is smarter but we win. We kill a few of the attackers, and the rest we take back to the dwarf's home city (just south of the sea of falling stars) and let the dwarfs put them to work in the mines as punishment. Well this upsets of the Night Masks quite a bit.

So They kill the dwarf, and the head of his clan, and they attack the Human Fighter with a death attack in all of their sleep, but the fighter makes his fort save (but goes to -1 hps.) Now we are stuck becauce we have no idea on how to deal with the situation.

The question is what would you actually do in this situation?

It has been sugusted that we ally with the Temple of Helm and talk to the eldar cleric (more or less put the ball back into the DM's court as it were.) I was hopeing for other ideas on how we can make it out of this encounter allive.

"When your back is against the wall, The only one you can call on in yourself. Against the wall, your arms are iron and your hands are steel. Your sword screams for the blood of the foe, and your heart rushes to your throat. All your senses hieghten, and yoru blood runs hot with fury. Skill and finesse are replaced with Anger and Hate...pure anger can beat even the hardst of armours. Strike hard, strike true...but most importanmtly strike with all the power your heart can muster. Furoicity is key."
