So my question is: Will they update the deities? Will any deity have a different DR or even power level (D,L,I,G)? Especially: Will Kiaransalee, who appeared in the CotSQ WE - advanced to lesser deity due to her influx of worshippers caused by the silence of Lolth - appear in that book? And: will vhaeraun receive a write-up? Or some other benefit (power increase due to the events in the War of the Spider Queen novel series)? |

| Gez09-15-03, 03:36 PM | Deities stats take up lots of place, because they have long huge list of feats, skills, and other abilities, plus spells usually; all that is then duplicated for the stats of the avatar; and honestly, those who do use deity stats enough to justify having them already made in a book rather than created by the DM, they also use the rules in the ELH and thus need to redo the deity stats anyway. In other words, I'm OK if deities are kept as a chart or a paragraph telling what change there are; but no more. Unless, of course, WotC is going to make it a 640 page book, for $30 no more. |

If they use the short stat block, it won't be that bad. [B][QUOTE] In other words, I'm OK if deities are kept as a chart or a paragraph telling what change there are; but no more. [B][QUOTE] I think a small paragraph for those deities that had some changes are needed. Something like "Vhaeraun: Vhaeraun had a major influx of followers because of the silence of Lolth. The resulting power surge was sufficient to raise him to the status of intermediate Deity (DR 12)." |
