Pools of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-11-06, 09:08 PM So I've been attempting to date this module I know it takes place in 1369 DR but I'd really like a date or at least a month. The only clues I've gathered are these:

1. There is a novel and video game by the same name.
2. I think there is a different party in each, one sent by Elminster which I think dies, another that is summoned by them from Phlan and the third which is said adventure.

So does anyone have any dates for me from any of these products?? Even seasons would be better than nothing. Anything will help I don't own the novel or videogame but I figure someone here might. Thanks guys.

09-22-06, 08:40 PM The setting for the campaign is the spring/summer of the year of the gauntlet-1369. The video game and book are basically one in the same as for the adventuring game that comes along with it is also set in the same time. Though the adventuring game placeses the PC's in and around the same areas as the book's characters, your not the same and don't go through the same trials. More importantly, your a group of younger, more inexperienced characters who help out by trying to fine the Dracolich's Phylacatory, or however you spell the thing that keeps it eternally alive and destory it. Allowing for a bigger, more advanced group of heros to take out the main villans. Though the book does detail how you can become involved, it's not recommended.

The module also mentions another missing/dead party which I assume aren't the characters from the book/video game. Is there adventure detailed anywhere? Thanks again.

10-03-06, 02:30 AM Eh, I'm not too sure. The only adventure I know of is the one about the 2nd group. If not then make up your own, it's possible Elminster sent more than one or even a few groups to quell the problem in Myth Drannor. I say wing it, and see what happens, though i'm pretty sure there isn't anything written about it other than what comes with the game. Hell, it's not even mentioned in any of the FRCS or other Realms sorce books.
