What Type of Puzzles you got in mind?

You could use Indiana Jones or National Treasure for inspiration

Simple cryptograms, on maps or in letters, scrolls, or books, making them have to either solve it themselves or Use Decipher Script to figure it out. depending on how tough the code would depend on how high the DC. I haven't seen exact rules but I'm sure there are some somewhere.

A map, or an epic spell written on a rubix cube, that needs to be unscrambled. it would even be better if you got a rubix cube and pasted something on it. putting a part of the puzzle on each side

tatoo a map on some guys head(and the guy doesn't know its there) and leave clues that are like 30 years old about a massive treasure, and that there is a map, but be vague as to where or who has it.(seen it in a pirate movie once)

An actual map, cut into several pieces, that they then have to find each piece of the map before decoding it and then finding out that someone already beat them to the treasure a few days before they got there

Another possible source of inspiration is the goonies movie or the DiVinci Code, or the other books by Dan Brown

Here's an old one. It dates to at least the late 1790's and is part of a grammar and punctuation lesson. It stumped my brother for months. The following statement is true. You just have to figure out the sense behind it:

"Every lady in this land
Has twenty nails upon each hand
Five and twenty on hands and feet
This is true without deceit."

I used this on my players via a crafty androsphinx who challenged them to prove the statement correct. They spent so much time trying to figure out if the androsphinx was somehow using creative wording in his instructions or other nefarious tricks. I asked if they wanted to make skill rolls, but they were determined to figure this one out on their own. I don't remember how long it took, but they had gone up a couple of levels by the time they got back to the androsphinx with the answer.

It's all about the punctuation. Read it again with the sense made out of it.
"Every lady in this land
Has twenty nails. Upon each hand
Five, and tweny on hands and feet.
This is true without deceit."

That was neat. :)

To make a quote box, you use [sblock] (with the "/" in the [sblock] at the end).

Thank you!

Let me give it a whirl here...

Hey! It works! Yipee!
I'm gonna go back and adjust that post so it hides the answer.
Thanks again!

Thanks, I didn't know that either. As for the riddle, it is a very good one. I just got an amazing one from my friend:

What 9 letter english word makes a new word when you take one letter out of it repeatedly?

Ex. Information
nformation
formation
ormation
etc. exept each one of those words needs to be real, and this must be repeatable until there is 1 letter left.

There's also a 3.0 book called Book of Challenges Is all about puzzles and weird situations (like one that has a room full of tirggered traps with the trasure at the end when you pick up the treasure, all of the traps set themself up again (all nine of them) :D

-Knowing a little bit what your players are like, you had better give them some major clues, or else they might get frustrated, and be a little more destructive than usual.

-I got that book in a bundle of D&D things that I got from E-Bay, and truthfully, I don't think that book was very good.

In truth, the Warrior in the group is a riddle addict, so we'll probably stay on task.
