| Iuducium06-24-03, 01:13 PM | Personally, I like the Raumathari Battlemage better. If you are trying to go for more spellcasting, than it is the better option. Spellsword is good though if you are trying to be about equal in your arcane and fighting abilities. Plus RM has Sword Focus (no more bat guano for fireballs!!) and the awesome Battle Spell ability. And they are just cool. http://www.geocities.com/edymnionii/KkatBigGrin.txt Hope Kkat doesn't mind me using one of her smilies. :( |
| Selvarin06-24-03, 02:27 PM | The way the Raumathari Battlemage handles Channel Spell should be the way the spellsword does (and I suspect it'll be fixed in an upcoming revision or perhaps an arcane spellcaster book). Because the spellsword's earlier version was so poor, I just made the prc's Channel Spell ability work the same exact way. There are enough differences outside of that to make them both quite viable. |

For those of you not following the discussion on the 3.5 messageboard, here is a summary of what we know so far about the Eldritch Knight: Requirements: Proficient in martial weapons, and ability to cast 3rd level arcane spells. d6 hit points per level BAB: +1 per level 9 out of 10 levels they get a +1 to spellcaster level. So, a 1st level fighter/5th level wizard would qualify for Eldritch Knight. The Eldritch Knight is better than any other fighter/wizard styled prestige class. Its even better than the Witch Hunter prestige class (from the Oriental Adventures book.) |
