Mad Mage 04-26-07, 11:08 PM	Okay, with Paizo cancelling Dragon magazine in a few months, will I be able to order back issues or what? I'm concerned about missing out on the divine PrCs in there above all else. I'd hate to download the issues for a few dollars for these reasons: 1) I don't have a credit card. 2) If something happens to my computer where it gets wiped, don't I have to re-download it again? I hope you folks can be understanding with this.

Can you provide me with more info about Paizo's decision and Wotc's relative reaction regarding the closure of "Dragon" magazine? If it's true, then it really makes me sad. The "Dragon" magazine has been being pubblished here in Italy (translated and in a somehow altered Italian version) for almost ten years if I remember correctly. I still appreciate its material and info about the D&D game very much.

I'm sure that the Paizo website will continue to sell physical back issues, though, since Paizo sells a lot of other D&D stuff, asides for just DRAGON. 2) If something happens to my computer where it gets wiped, don't I have to re-download it again? -I downloaded my Elves of Evermeet PDF from Paizo. I don't know if magazines work like this, but in the case with sourcebooks, you are allowed to redownload products that you have already purchased as PDFs for free, so long as you have your password and user ID name.

Answer from Paizo FAQ (http://paizo.com/transition/faq): Will I still be able to order back issues of Dragon and/or Dungeon? Paizo Publishing will continue to sell back issues of both publications as long as they are available. Subscribers may also elect to receive certain back issues in exchange for post-September issues remaining on their subscriptions (see paizo.com/transition for details). MarkusTay63 04-30-07, 03:32 PM	You should make a habit of backing up all your files on your computer regularly anyway. Just rip everything to disc and don't worry about it. I thought this thread was going to be about the relevency of stuff published in Dragon while Paizo ran the mag, and it's status as 'canon' in the current realms. Guess not.

ClobberinTime 05-01-07, 06:55 PM	Given that the very first published realms material appeared in Dragon, one might consider it canon, One might also consider the loss of Dragon to be a loss to the FR community. The only thing I would be worried about in terms of back issues would be: Are they going to sell out of all of the stuff I want when current subscribers take out their remaining issues in back issues. In terms of the new Product Pathfinder, its more like Dungeon than it is dragon, but it should be great if its anywhere near as good as the current Dungeon APs.
