| MarkusTay6304-18-07, 01:56 PM | I read somewhere about two weeks ago that Kara-Tur has recently discovered a portal that leads (I believe) to the Sea of Fallen Stars, and have been using it discreetly for a short time now. I thought it was in the KT entry in the CS, but its not. Does anyone know where I might have read this? It's driving me nuts! :thinks: |

In Unapproachable East (pp124) it mentions markers along the Great Road of the Great Dale (near Benzentil) that if activated properly (you have to press all ten markers in order while travelling the road)transport the user to fixed position in Kara-tur...but only at the annual equinoxes. Apparently they're been around since there were only elves in the Dale. Their power is a secret guarded by the Circle of Leth. Hopefully this helps. I don't know if there's other portals, but this is the closest thing I've encountered to what you mentioned. |

| MarkusTay6304-18-07, 05:00 PM | Since I have read only one harper novel (Red Wizards) I really doubt that is where I read it. However, the reference I remember reading in source probably came out after that novel and refers to it, further narrowing my research. Thanks for that, Tom :D |

I did find an interesting tidbit while reading that entry though. A while back we had a thread here concerning homosexuality and the Realms, which was later moved because of it's mature content. Well... :D I am soooo moving to Eversult guys. Boyaa! Any city run by Lesbians is my kinda town. :dancin: |

| MarkusTay6304-24-07, 05:01 PM | Update!!! :eek: I think I found the passage I must have read, but truth be told, I don't remember even perusing this book at the time I read this info; perhaps it was mentioned elsewhere as well? :confused: Anyhow, it was in Races of Faerūn, pg.108 (the Shou entry). Uh-Doh! :doh: At least this opens up a whole new world of inter-action between east and west.... :D |
