The group that I play with is planning on do a predominantly underwater/ elemental plane of water campaign. This is something new to me, and I'm kinda at a loss as what type of character I should play. I'm basically set on the races I'll probably use, andI thin that I've been relegated to a fighter. But:
What feats should I consider?
Are there any decent prestige classes I should keep in mind?
Are there any resoures other than the basic books that I could look into?

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

It's a 2nd edition book, but I'd look at Sea of Fallen Stars. There is a lot of stuff in there...

2e's Of Ships & Sea also...... There are many, many, many 3/3.5E 3rd party books for water and underwater adventures.

Check out Unearthed Arcana now also. There are some aquatic variant races in that brand new book. :)

You could play 1/2 water elemental from Manual of the planes page 189, only 3.5 changes are can breath under water and it is a +3 lv adj(they get alot of nice stuff though).
sea elf, there are a few more races.
Or you could play a regular race with an amulet of adaptation and a ring of freedom of movement.
