Ok, I didn't notice another thread on this, probably because the book just came out.

I am probably overlooking it, but it is mentioned on page 47 and 48, the shaper of the divine title. I have not been able to locate where it's detailed. Can anybody shed some light for me?

And on a somewhat tangent note, for anyone that has the book already, what are the opinions on it? My birthday is on the 19th and I'm considering picking this one up, but wanted some clue what other folks had thought about it first.

Shemeska, if you're a FR lore-fan, or run or want to run intrigue- or politics- heavy gameplay, this book is pure gold.
For dungeon crawls, or if you customarily only mine sourcebooks for new feats and prestige classes: not so much.
POF has feats and prestige classes, but only a few. It covers a lot of topics not fully addressed in rulebooks up until now.
I happen to be a roleplaying-heavy fan of the Realms, so this book is pure gold to me. If WotC wanted to let Messrs. Greenwood and Boyd write, say, six sequels, one a month, I'd rush out and buy two copies of each.
Of course, other gamers' mileage will vary.
BTW, this is the first book since Serpent Kingdoms (say: Greenwood and Boyd again, hmmm) that when I leaf through it again and again, skimming, I get new adventure ideas or just IDEAS popping into my head. And to me that's worth the price of the book ten times over.
Getting the idea I liked it, yet?

If 'Boyd' on the cover wasn't already a temptation, yeah, I'll be picking this one up. :D

Has the most original content yet released in 3.0/3.5 FR supplements. It is usable for all levels. Well worth the price.

Quick question, not seeing where the HD & BAB & Saves etc are for the Court Herald... does that mean they are the same as the DMG Loremaster? Or maybe I'm just blind...

Thanks! Loving what I've read so far.

Table 6-1 and the last line of table 6-2 are missing; we're not sure yet what should actually be there.

the book says it's a vartiant of the loremaster class so I'd guess treat it like the loremaster save where it says differntly.

Especially since it seems to go up to 12th level?? Very intriguing...

Ummm, is it just me or is there a spoiler for the end of the Last Mythal trilogy in PoF? I won't mention where in case others haven't read it and don't want to.

There is, Eric L. Boyd warned us about it here (and on candlekeep) a few days ago. There was a bit of a snafu with regard to release dates of the two books.

Yes there is, as I've mentioned in numerous places online and in the interview for PoF in an effort to warn folks in advance. This was inadvertant; I did not realize PoF would get released before the third novel in Rich's excellent trilogy.

In fairness to Rich, please do not post the spoiler online.

Hey Guys,

I wanted to your opinions on the "Heretic of the Faith" feat. What are your views on it and how can it really be used by player characters? I understand how clerics are affected by it but what about other classes? Any thoughts are appreciated!

I was very excited about this book and still am after reading it. I think it answers one of the main complaints especially by people who are new to the realms that it just seems too static. This is pretty much a carry over from the beginning of 3ed where the map was shrunk and suddenly the 'frontier' got a whole lot smaller.

Basically if you want your PCs to have complicated interactions with the world around them especially at higher levels then this book is for you.

Basically also it really brings into focus the age old player-dm argument about how much influence the PCs will have on lower level NPCs when they are at higher levels. instead of the endless- Yes the king would give it to me vs. No he wouldn't give it to you arguments, the PC can build up his influence in an area, church what have you over time and the DM should have alot of information to base his decisions on that he didn't before.
