Greetings,

I do not know if there is a thread with the same questions so I am asking them again.

See,I do not have Races of Faerun and currently converting my Forgotten Realms campaign to 3.5 edition.

Here is my questions;
-Is this book for 3rd edition?
If it is 3rd edition,
-Does it makes trouble when converting to 3.5?
And finally,
-Does this book worth the money?

Thanks in advance.

Well now I have one more question too.
Do you use the information directly for the 3.5 or do you need to make some changes or convertments?

There are some minor things that needs change, like the Fey'ri DR, and.. the fact that the Black Flame Zelot needs a exotic feat in 3.0, but its a normal martial feat in 3.5

(those two are the only problems I remember now)

All in all, there are more problems in Players Guide to Faerun, then there are in Races of Faerun when it comes to using it in a 3.5 game.

One thing you'll want to know:

Any races that are mechanically detailed elsewhere don't have their racial abilities listed in Races of Faerun. For example, because the drow racial abilities were detailed in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, you won't find their racial abilities in Races of Faerun. This affects the drow, aasimar, tiefling, and all the genasi, basically anything from the FRCS.

Don't get me wrong. You still get heaps of information about those races. You just don't get their racial abilities listed if their listed in another product.

That being said, it's a must have book if you play in the Realms. In establishing my campaign, I probably used Races of Faerun and The Unapproachable East the most, more than ever the FRCS.

There is more info about the Fey'ri in Lords of Darkness. Not much, only about 4 pages. (two of them details there hideout) But thats more then they got in Races of Faerun.
