| Sarig the Genie05-30-04, 06:09 PM | So, this book any good? Lot's of new races in it? Easy to make non-Faerun? I don't have the FRCS, and not planning to get one either. But I am running a campaign heavy with different races, so I wondered if this is a good buy? |
| Brenigin05-30-04, 06:19 PM | Races of Faerun is heavy on FR flavour text. For most FR fans this is a bonus. For someone just looking to strip ot crunch, there's not much here for you. |
| Cunning Linguist05-30-04, 06:27 PM | Need to agree with Bernigin there, Races of Faerun is a heavy fluff book. Since I run a faerun game, I would find it hard to strip anything from that book, since it would be to "faeruny". I would rather pick up Players Guide to Faerun and strip away the Region system. It's somewhat more work, but far better for easy region flavor. (Oh, these are icy areas, well, the people that grew up here can get Surefooted feat then) |

The only thing I would like to see would either be a Web Enhancement or some other supplement providing the same level of detail for the "lesser" human cultures - Bedine, D'Tarig, Ffolk, Mazticans, etc. |
