Rashemi spirits [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-13-06, 01:35 PM I was trying to get more familiar with Rasheman last night because it seemed interesting, but I stumbled across a question I could not seem to find an answer to.

I understand that Rasheman has a great load of guardian spirits all over the place. My question is: how does anyone see them?

I thought I read that that common folk couldn't see them but instead waited for signs from the spirits. But then the Wychlaran are supposed to speak to the spirits on behalf of the people. The Wychlaran are taken from the common people if they have magical aptitude, so do they learn how to see the spirits? How would such a thing be taught?

I'm curious if there's an answer in the books that I've missed, since I haven't had the time to look at everything properly.

03-14-06, 11:14 AM Most spirits are represented by the Telthor template in Unapproachable East. Any creature with the Spirit subtype (see Oriental Adventures) are also this. Most are incorporeal. There are many spells that allow spellcasters to sense incorporeal creatures. All Wychlaran are spellcasters therefore it is a matter of spells that is the training. Hope that helps explain the situation of why they are invisible and how the Wychlaran can see them.
