| Phelf_Der_Zemit02-02-08, 08:19 PM | I just finished the first short story by kemp, and I must say it saited my taste for the third book release for now. I was wondering if we all came to this unspoken conculsion by the end of it or if this is a new Idea, but it is to my thinking that the man who saved Everis's Lady and Unborn Child was Mask himself. Thoughts? Comments? Counter Arguements? |
| msatran02-02-08, 10:57 PM | I don't think that's even possible. Something tells me that there's a big dog, landing on his face. |
| Lord Karsus02-03-08, 02:07 AM | -I need to remember to pick this book up. |
| sfdragon02-03-08, 02:58 AM | looked at it, wated to read up on the redemption short in it, didnt read it all, just the end. now im going to spoil it for you all I dont like open ended novels, i should of read it all. oh im sorry i should of been clear, i was going to spoil what i thought of it. might pick it up myself next payday, or in march one |
| Phelf_Der_Zemit02-03-08, 11:45 AM | -I need to remember to pick this book up. The local library awaits. And yes, if Mask did show up it might have broken or as he would say, bend a few rules. |
| Lord Karsus02-03-08, 12:21 PM | The local library awaits. -Beh, forget the library. I need to get it for keeps. Stealing from the library is just wrong. |

I was wondering if we all came to this unspoken conculsion by the end of it or if this is a new Idea, but it is to my thinking that the man who saved Everis's Lady and Unborn Child was Mask himself. I agree--in fact, I thought that was made fairly obvious in the story. And yes, I look forward to reading the final novel in the series. |
| Lord Karsus02-04-08, 12:09 AM | -I found like, three other books I want to get, so I should be going to the bookstore sometime soon. :) |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin02-04-08, 12:54 PM | I think you'll enjoy this anthology. I'm a little more than halfway through it myself. |
| Alediran02-04-08, 01:20 PM | Anthologies are stories that truly fit the realms. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin02-04-08, 02:26 PM | Anthologies are stories that truly fit the realms. Usually, yes, because they tend not to be "earth-shattering". |
| Lord Karsus02-04-08, 03:15 PM | -I went to Barnes & Noble, and they didn't have Realms of War, nor did they have the other book I was looking for, and yet, I somehow spend $55 on books...:nonono: |
| Phelf_Der_Zemit02-04-08, 05:19 PM | wow. I usually only rack up $20. Around three books at 6.99. I agree with the view on anthologies, some stories just don't have the full novel material but can still make a fun read, and you can really miss out on those if they don't throw them together like this. |
| Lord Karsus02-04-08, 06:09 PM | -There is a quote I believe attributed to Socrates that I can relate to. To paraphrase it, "With whatever money I have, I buy books. If there is anything left over, I buy food." ;) |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin02-04-08, 07:44 PM | -I went to Barnes & Noble, and they didn't have Realms of War, nor did they have the other book I was looking for, and yet, I somehow spend $55 on books...:nonono: Dammit. You know, Realms of War has a new story by Elaine Cunningham that I think you'd like (I'm reading it right now).:) |
| Lord Karsus02-04-08, 10:36 PM | Dammit. You know, Realms of War has a new story by Elaine Cunningham that I think you'd like (I'm reading it right now).:) -Dammit. :( |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin02-05-08, 10:58 AM | -Dammit. :( I finished reading it.:) It's called Redemption, and it's mainly about Elaith. Although, his actions in the story indicate that he's not necessarily moving towards redemption (it takes place in 1368 DR, by the way). It's an interesting look into how his mind works. |

| 18DELTA02-05-08, 03:54 PM | -Yeah I have the book and only read the First story. To darn busy goofing around on these boards, or at work.;) 18DELTA:P |
| Phelf_Der_Zemit02-05-08, 06:00 PM | -Yeah I have the book and only read the First story. To darn busy goofing around on these boards, or at work.;) 18DELTA:P So while you've brought it up, What do you think about Mask being What'sherfaces savor? |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin02-05-08, 06:03 PM | So while you've brought it up, What do you think about Mask being What'sherfaces savor? I thought it was a pretty neat (if not totally unexpected) plot twist, although I was more interested in Varra and Rivalen than Mask. |
| Phelf_Der_Zemit02-05-08, 06:20 PM | I agree with the Rivalen revalation, and I also might be little foggy on Ao's rules, but what was his hang up on Divinty messing around with Mortals? And did Mask (if that was indeed Mask) cross it by doing what he did? |
| Lord Karsus02-05-08, 06:33 PM | I agree with the Rivalen revalation, and I also might be little foggy on Ao's rules, but what was his hang up on Divinty messing around with Mortals? And did Mask (if that was indeed Mask) cross it by doing what he did? -Ao mandated during the Time of Troubles that deities interact and care more about their followers than they did at the time. |
| Phelf_Der_Zemit02-05-08, 06:41 PM | So then the act in "question" fell into the Ok realm. |
| 18DELTA02-05-08, 09:21 PM | So while you've brought it up, What do you think about Mask being What'sherfaces savor? -No problem what so ever. I think that Mask has something big planned for Varra and Cale's baby.:D -Didn't he touch her belly and it make her sick...so maybe the child is now touched by the GOD MASK? 18DELTA:) |
| zeomax02-28-08, 10:50 PM | has anybody read Salvatore's new story Stones and Bone, if so could you post who its about, and what happens |
| Lord Karsus02-28-08, 11:45 PM | has anybody read Salvatore's new story Stones and Bone, if so could you post who its about, and what happens -That was the one in this anthology? It's about a random goblin and Twibbledorf Pwent each losing comrades on the battle field, fighting, and then realizing that they aren't that different after all. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin02-29-08, 02:13 PM | has anybody read Salvatore's new story Stones and Bone, if so could you post who its about, and what happens Why don't you just read it and see for yourself? |
| zeomax02-29-08, 11:45 PM | i would buy it but i'm 13 broke and cant get a job |
| Lord Karsus03-01-08, 01:33 AM | -Excuses, excuses, excuses... |
| Phelf_Der_Zemit03-01-08, 10:55 AM | Library? that's were I got mine from. And I have all intentions of bringing it back to. |
| Nessaj03-01-08, 06:43 PM | The short story was very, very interesting. I opened it up, saw "Rivalen" in the first sentence, closed the book, and took it to the counter so I could read it in the comfort of my own home. Paul Kemp's take on Shar's High Priest is very, very interesting from the last two novels, although I find it interesting that POSSIBLE SPOILER: ....Rivalen's faith could be so easily shaken after two thousand years of worshipping the Goddess of Secrets and Lady of Loss. Didn't he even consider that maybe the Shadowstorm isn't the end-all be-all of things? Not to mention that, well, dissappointment seems par for the course when it comes to Shar. |

| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin03-03-08, 06:35 PM | i would buy it but i'm 13 broke and cant get a job It's not that expensive... |
| Lord Karsus04-02-08, 04:09 AM | It's not that expensive... -$6.99, plus any applicable taxes. |
