Red Hand of Doom Where in the Realms can it take Place [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-01-06, 05:08 PM I am running a Realms game, and just got Red Hand of Doom, any suggestions on where this adventure can take place? I was thinking Cormyr?

03-03-06, 08:32 AM Yeah, Channath Vale is the best place. The geography fits almost perfectly, though you'll have to make a few minor changes with some races of the area. For example, most humans are Shaarans by ethnicity, and that means they don't look like how they're presented in the adventure. Also, FR sources say the mountains where the goblinoids come from are populated by gnolls, but that's easy to change. And also, Lhesper (or Rhestil, as it's called in the adventure) has a yuan-ti presence (according to FR material), but in Red Hand of Doom, you'll find lizardfolk in the ruins.
