| DM_Dracophile02-12-06, 05:10 PM | I was wondering if anyone else has picked up this amazing module and intends on running it in the Realms. I read the few tips for placing it in the Realms, and wondered if anyone else had any further ideas and/or suggestions for meshing the RHoD with Faerun? Peace Draco |

Peace Draco It was made to be dropped into the Realms in the Channath Vale area. More details on this area can be found in Shining South. |
| Draka03-07-06, 08:25 AM | Any suggestion if you wanted too play it in silver maches??? |
| Brenigin03-07-06, 12:59 PM | In the Silver Marches, the hobgoblins would soon find themselves warring with an equal sized orc army before they even had a chance to plan a campaign against the local human settlements. |
| King-bargh03-07-06, 08:27 PM | You can always ignore the orcs in the North, hey they are chaotic and it takes time to get them moving. More complicated is to find suitable towns to be the targets of the action. Silverymoon and Luskan is too well defended. Neverlund or Nesme perhaps? Worst case there is always gates. Perhaps the players find one between the North and where-ever. |
| Brenigin03-07-06, 08:50 PM | Wait - retraction time! I knew I forgot something. You've got the Morueme blue dragon clan in the Nether Mts - and their hobgoblin servitors. Use the Rauvin or Delimbyr Vale, plus the High Forest. Good fit! |

Peace Draco I'm preparing myself to prepare this adventure in Realms to. But has a thing that is boudering me: my lack of knowledge about the Year of the Dragon Rogues. :weep: My players are in Marpenoth, 1372. This adventure will be the next. I want to know how to fit it on the plot of this Year. It fit well? |
| hreslingozer07-04-07, 08:11 PM | If I was dropping this module intothe Silver Marches, I would simply change "Hobgoblin" to "Orc". If you wanted to, you could also change over all the stats -- I wouldn't, though, as there is no doubt if you don't tell the players they won't even notice. I am currently running this in the Silver Marches and it definetely fits the flavour down there. I've even added/changed some things from the Shining South, like mantimeras instead of chimeras and cyclops instead of hill giants. So far, the campaign is going very well. Good luck! |
| Gerry07-05-07, 09:33 AM | Lots of advice on how to drop this into FR can be found in Campaign Ideas and Prequel Modules for RHoD ( http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=12684296#post12684296) . Plus someone's done up FR maps, you'll find links for that in Maps and Other Handouts ( http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=12684274#post12684274). And in general, there's the entire index (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=855450) to check out for other ideas, handouts, etc. Gerry |
| stonedrunk07-05-07, 12:41 PM | I got done playing this about 3 months ago and we all had a blast with it. as for the location to run it. we ran the one in the book and it worked out very well. started at lvl 1 and went 15. well the ones that lived did. i ended up losing 3 chars. damn dragons.:D |
| Questing GM07-05-07, 10:24 PM | Wait - retraction time! I knew I forgot something. You've got the Morueme blue dragon clan in the Nether Mts - and their hobgoblin servitors. Use the Rauvin or Delimbyr Vale, plus the High Forest. Good fit! I'm currently running RHoD in the Silver Marches and already using the Morueme clan. Some of the things to consider are: The Morueme dragons are very powerful dragons. Both the brothers are Mature adults with 5 levels of Sorc which puts them beyond the level range as recommended by the module. The only other dragons are their mate which are also at least adults, and only one wyrmling. The Dracorage has affected the Morueme dragons and the strings of events that followed have been stated in Dragons of Faerun and possibly in one of the Dragons of Faerun anthology. (I only have the supplment which gives some details to what happened but didn't actually read the real event itself). I removed this sequence of events for the module as it sort of contradicts with what happens in RHoD. Brindol can easily be replaced with Sundabar while for Derlin's Ferry I used Deadsnows. The Silver Marches supplement here is really helpful in detailing both locations. I'm having problems adapting Part 2 of the Module. So far, I've changed all the non-blue spawns into blue ones (which I used MMIV) but am still not sure where to place the ruin at. Dragons of Faerun also details about the Morueme clan and some of the authority figures can serve to be the Wyrmlords themselves. However, just like the dragons, they are also overpowered for the module. I was wondering if anyone else has picked up this amazing module and intends on running it in the Realms. I read the few tips for placing it in the Realms, and wondered if anyone else had any further ideas and/or suggestions for meshing the RHoD with Faerun? Peace Draco You should check this out Dargoths Red Hand of Doom relocation plans (http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6530) |

It works well on the plot of the adventure? I will DM this, but I'm not sure about the rage and stuff. |
