| wingGodzilla03-08-04, 08:39 AM | I'm starting this thread with much respect to the Lords of Darkness Foundation. In which I call myself a member. If you have not read that line, check it out! But this is for all the people who like, hate, or just have Red Wizards in your game. The RW are known for there hidden schemes, twisted plots, and enigmas for others to try and solve. If you are one of them or being pitted agaist them (poor you) Let the rest of us know how it is going? What nasty plots do the RW got cooking? As for me, I am DMing a game in which the RW are behind the new rulership of the Golden Fields. The food backbone for the North. But as always you can not just take it over and claim it for yourself or you will lose it quickly! You have to be sly about the money being transfered or the drugs that are now in the food the good people of the North are now eating. It will take time for the fruits of the labor to show, but show it will! |
| Mumm-Ra03-09-04, 10:59 AM | In my game, one pc is a red wizard, and his master told them to kill the gnolls responsible for killing his slaves and burning his plantations, to protect the plantations from further attack, and to bring back whoever is responsible back alive. The players killed some gnolls, but due to a treacherous pc, they failed to adequately protect a plantation. In the meantime, they realised a traitorous npc red wizard, a fellow student of the pc red wizard, is behind thee attacks. This npc red wizard was thought dead after she had an argument with the master, and after her ashes were found in her burning room. In reality, she was angry at her master after the argument, and wanted sweet revenge. She killed a slave and faked her death, then left for the gnoll caves on the second escarpment. There, being a red wizard, she easily gathered a band of gnolls to raid plantations. Now the master has ordered the players to find her and bring her back. Unknown to the pc, The master knew she was alive and was behind the attacks (which is why he wanted whoever wa behind the raids alive). However, the former apprentice turned traitor has evacuated the gnoll caves, since the last raid cost her gnoll forces dearly even after a particularly destructive raid. She knows she will be caught sooner or later, so she is making a run to aglarond. She has dealt her former master several thosands of gold worth of damage, and is content to run away. The pc's are in pursuit at the moment, and they are nearing the umber marshes. They are only 4 or 5 hours behind her and her gnolls. We will see what happens. |

Did the Master approve of the npc burning crops and used this as a way to find out which one of his/her students if more powerful, then give his/her full support to the winner. Or was this something that just happened and the Master is rolling with the punches? Always looking for more stories that want to be told! You are the first, now let's see if we can get some more. Also keep (us?) up to date on what going on with your Red Wizards plots as well, Thanks! |
