If there was a gate still open between the D20 Modern World and the Forgotten Realms, where is it likely to be and where is it likely to lead to. In the Forgotten Realms past there were gates leading from our world to Toril or so the story goes, this explains why the Realms pantheon includes some Egyptian dieties the Mulharandi Pantheon I belive its called. It could very well be that not all the gates were closed if the GM allows it, one particular gate might have been lost rather than closed. It seems logical that one place where a remaining gate might be found would be ancient Egypt perhaps in a recently discovered phaeroe's tomb. The other place would be in the land of Mulharand. What do you think? What is allowed to come through the gate should be carefully controlled, perhaps the one of the Faerunian gods, Oghma sounds a likely choice.

The choices are:

1) Let a d20 Modern character bring whatever he wants

2) Let the d20 Modern character come through but certain items he carries does not.

3) The Modern character can bring the stuff, but not all of it is going to work

4) The PC Modern character stumbles on to the gate and it transported accidentally bringing whatever incidental equipment he has on him at the time.
